INTRODUCTION
In health and social care sector most effecting contemporary issues are related to the
facilities requirement, patient demands and improvement requirement along with the speciality.
Contemporary issues known as the problems and needs arise at the current situation which
impact the peoples, place (Hughes, ed., 2017). Nursing and residential care facilities is the
specialized part or area of the health and social care sectors which involves the specific care
staff for the resident. In this report different contemporary issues related to selected area is going
to be evaluated which influence the service improvement of that sector. Key prospectives of the
issues and their impact on the care delivery process is going to be analyse in this report.

Nursing and residential care facilities one of the crucial health care department which
deals with the management and cure of the resident patients. This involves the all type of health
care facility for resident this can be either nursing, professional, supervisory and all other type of
care which is required by the patient or either necessary for him (Mondada, 2019). Nursing and
residential care facility area is further divided into multiple categorises such as the Home health
care services, nursing care facilities, mental health residential development facilities, community
care facility's and so on. Current nursing care facilities area is facing huge issues related to the
needs and development of the technology and patients all these issues are supporting for the
service improvement. Explanation of some nursing care contemporary services are explain
below with in the evaluation of their influence on service improvement (van Vliet, and
Hammond, 2021).
Demand of specialised nurses- Due to the huge range of health care issues and
inappropriate numbers of the staff such as the nurses, physicians. Need for the sepacilized nurses
is the biggest issues which has to be fulfil in order to provide best care to every patient. It has
been analysed that numbers of the staff is not enough for the proper care of patient. Current

situation of the COVID-19 have increased the fear of infection and death throughout the peoples
and health care staff which is reduces the staff members from the health care organisations. This
need of specialized nurses is influencing the health care sector to work on betterment of health
care services by recruiting the specialized nurses (Moore, and Reynolds, 2017).
Higher needs of patient centred care services- Due to the higher cases of the life
threatening dieaseas people are looking for the holistic care services at huge rate of requirement.
This is contemporary issues for the health care sector in context to satisfaction of which
organisation have to focus on development of the effective holistic care staff along with the
evidence based holistic care practices. Through which patient can be facilitated with appropriate
holistic care services. This contemporary issues is influencing for the improvement of health
carer services with in the involvement of more effectiveness techniques and practices (Nhamo‐
Murire, and Macleod, 2018).
Technological – Technological development is facilitating almost all business and
socials care organisation to effectively manage their function. But in context to the nursing care
practices there is the emerging issues of the new technological Implementation which is
developing the need of technical training of nurses for better application of Morden health care
technology. This contemporary issue of the nursing care sector is influencing the betterment of
nursing care practices by more skilled nurses who can use technology for effective care of
patient (Quinlivan, 2018).

All the nursing care sector contemporary issues are posing the positive prospective of
betterment which can improve the care delivery process of nurses and professionals for resident
and home care patients. Some of the key prospective of contemporary issues are given blow in
context to care delivery.
Effective care services- With in the development of new specialised nurses health care
organisation can improve their care services. Nurses can effectively manage the patient issues
with in the application of their health care specialised education and skills. So key prospective
behind the specialised nurses development is availability of special skilled nurses in the place of
professionals for primary carer and supportive care process.

prospective of the contemporary issue such as the higher need of holistic care is, improvement

and availability of the more specialized holistic care group in context to providing quality of life

guidelines trough which every case of the holistic care is can be manage. Accurate use of the
medical terminology, aid to manage the cultural safety at every time.
Improved care techniques- Technical innovations in health care sector is the best thing
which helps to improve the patient care. So the key prospective of technological issues is to
develop nurses awareness about new techniques and how to that that for effective care practices.
Major prospective is about technical training of the nurses for improvement of their care
practices techniques and methods. Such as the nurses should be trained for right use of the health
care technology, electronic health care care recorder, training for the accurate diagnostic and
treatment plans. Effective clinical communication techniques, collaboration platform. So skills
development training is important to develop best care team (National Council of State Boards
of Nursing, 2018).
Availability of enough staff- Nurses development and storage is developing the issues
of proper allocation in context to effective care services. But this can be helpful and influence to
develop the more facilitated care services for the patient with in the helps of multiple specialized
nursing staff. This helps to build the strong nursing care team with in particular specialization if
it can manage with in the right time by provide and differentiating the nursing team at
specialised training.

From the above discussion it is clear that there are the various issues which are
influencing the improvement of health care services by focusing on the improvement of care
delivery services. Proper management of these issues is can be helpful in the reduction of
disruption of the services (Spence,and et. al., 2019). On the basis of above study some major
issues are selected in-order to implement within the different function area of the organisation
such as the specialized nurses have to be recruit by HRM system and differentiated into the
specific department of care on the basis of their skills and education. In order to prevent the
disruption of health care services appropriate numbers of the nurses should be placed at each and
every health care department. Then in context to the contemporary issue and prospective of
effective holistic care services has to be placed at the research and development department of

the organisation by which effective holistic care is can be develop along with the proper
evidence based practices guidelines (Watson and Schmit, 2019). Technological issues is can be
implemented within the growth and training department of the organisation in order to provide
the best technological training.

specialized nursing staff within the proper knowledges of the technical care and handling.
Training should be provided according to the latest technology and guidelines. Recruitment
should be done with in the application of appropriate recruitment and selection procedures

the technical, nursing, holistic care needs of the health care sector which can be helpful for the
betterment of health care practices by accomplishing and solving those issues. They contribute to
the development of organisation and practitioners concern for the betterment of techniques and
process of health care services by the accurate implementation of contemporary issues right
place of improvement and growth. All those prospective of the analysis and result is can be use
