Through observing the Shackleton leadership style it allow to use the sense of commitment

appraising their efforts through using all the tools and resources for achieving their target on
time. Using the combination of flexible methods, imaginative and credible commitment it helps
to meet the purpose for achieving success and allow to reduce the issues in 21st century.
Shackleton was a good leader who did not force their team to do too hard work without getting
proper support and help that can lead to create negative impact on their motivation or increase
their workload or tension (Nyambe, 2022). Shackleton was the one who was great at

can help them to get solution and enable to solve those issue in more effective way within less

There are various contemporary management issues within 21st century like change in high
employee turnover, environment, change in technology, work pressure, decreased performance
level, inadequate support, lack of communication and many more. It can be explained through
using the example of Unilever which refers to a multinational British consumer goods company
and stabilised in 1929 by the Samuel Van Den Bergh, Antonius Johannes Jurgens which provide
consumer goods to the people (Shackleton, 2020). Unilever has many management issues like
low motivation to staff members, poor organisational culture, lack of training, weak leadership
style that impact the overall organisational business in today dynamic world (Walls, 2019). Here,
management and leaders uses power culture and autocratic within organisation in which their
decision are made by the employer without concerning their employees. Here, organisation
perform their role in effective way that may include better and effective response which are
associated with ensuring about making plan and instructing their employee to follow those to
achieve the business objectives (Nzewi and et. al., 2021). Here, leaders of Unilever does not
include their employee to participate in the decision making process and instruct them to follow
up on their made decision. They also force their employee to use new technology without
providing them appropriate training about it. There is also lack of communication between the
team and leader which create the situation of conflict within the team and create reduction in the
organisational productivity (Gutmann, 2018). This result in reduction in the employee retention
which also affect the productivity. Here, top management should focus on the internal
environment and making better changes according to requirement for achieving market success
in business (Seidel and et. al., 2019).
RECOMMENDATION
It can be recommended that Unilever management should modify their organisational
culture along with leadership style which can help to mitigate those issues that can decline
profitability and organisational productivity. There is need to use the Shackleton leadership style
which are effective and help to perform well about managing potential employees for achieving
desired goals. Through providing freedom that can help to participate in the decision and enable

them to provide some idea that can also help in improving their working performance. Providing

and use their skills to perform well in the organisation. It can help motivate employees which can

productivity (Taşar and et. al., 2020).

management issues in the present 21st century which should be taken in consideration and leader
should take care of that. Through applying the Shackleton leadership style, it can enable leader to
perform well and help in performing well to deliver better and effective response towards taking
care of effective response toward achieving the business goal. This leadership style can also help
to motivate their employees and enable them to perform well to work effectively. It can also
