INTRODUCTION
Artificial intelligence is the power or robot which is disciplined by a computer to do project that
are generally finished by human beings because they needed human intelligence and discernment
(Lu, 2020). It is very useful in business as it look the capabilities of them instead of the
technologies. Artificial intelligence can assist few business needs, that is, acquiring insight
through with data analysis, change business procedure and engaging with the consumers and the
workers. Through the use of Artificial intelligence, the business can boost their revenue, improve
customer experience, and increase productivity and efficiency. Hence, it is generally a
supporting tool for the business.
MAIN BODY
Four building blocks of strategy
There are basically four options which represent the building blocks of any strategy and these are
detailed below-
Conceding- It refers to the admit or agree of some initiative to buy an opponent or
something which reconstitute one's forces and it should be happen in the business in the
era of artificial intelligence. As according to this building block, McDonald’s has to lead
their business and concede some initiative in the era of AI which can improve their
efficiency and productivity.
Confronting- It refers to the direct activity against opposition to resolve a struggle or to
accomplish one's goals. As if the firm adopts this building block of strategy, they can
consider that they have always option available for them when they confronted with the
opponent, or any hindrance or resistance (Belhadi and et.al., 2022).
Competing- It is a building block of any strategy as it focuses on that there is no direct
action against opponent by letting a third party which decides in a competitory area. The
firm has to use this strategy as to compete in a competitive market.
Cooperating- It is a term which refers to the combination with other actors so as to
accomplish a mutually matched or cooperative interests and consequence. The business
has to cooperate with the other forces so as to accomplish their goals or objectives which
can lead to their success.

Functions and impact of artificial intelligence on the business strategy
The role of artificial intelligence is from automatic machinery and vehicles to the consumer
service chatbots which can observe the consumer crime and there are artificial intelligence result
and application which has to be integrated into all forms of business functions. The device of
artificial intelligence is to determine the areas which are prior for the enterprise and where the
artificial intelligence add to the value most. The main role of artificial intelligence is to change
procedure which are too complex for the aged technologies and provide a progressive looking
intelligence to modify human decisions. Through artificial intelligence, the firm may see into
their future in a better way and provide a language-processing technology to analyse the
customer opinions. The investment in the artificial intelligence is very useful for the McDonald’s
as it can improve their efficiency, profitability and effectiveness. Artificial intelligence gives a
positive impact to the business which is listed down-
Automating recruitment- It helps the firm to analyse vast amount of data, identifying
patterns and predicting outcomes. And it helps the HR department to recruit the
employees by screening resumes, trailing applications, and scheduling interviews.
Further to it, chatbots help the department to analyse the responses and determine that
this person is best suited for the company or not. Hence, AI helps the HR department
to hire the professionals (Lichtenthaler, 2020).
Personalising marketing and sales- If any firm implements AI in their business, this
can help them to personalise marketing and sales of their product because it is much
faster humans and can facilitate sales reps to close deals. Moreover, AI can make
customised emails or messages for each recruit, and upsell ideas to each customer by
using the chatbots. The company had developed a mobile app by incorporating AI into
their operations and it leads to the increase in their sales.
Change security- AI has various contemporary and future applications for the
security instead of protection against programmers such as crime prevention and
protection assurance. If the firm include AI into their network safety, it can acquire a
trust as the individual information dangers and security becomes more common in
today's world.

Management of workforce in the global environment
The work force management is an incorporated set of activity which use by the businesses to
modify the productiveness of their workers. Sometimes, it is name to as the Human resource
management system, or the workforce asset management. It is important for the businesses as it
ensures that the workers are aligned with their business goals. If McDonald’s manages their
workforce in a well planned manner, they can bear many benefits such as it will improve their
workers productivity, lower operational cost, better labour planning, and provide better customer
service. To manage the workforce, the organisation has to take use of workforce management
system which includes many activities that are detailed below-
Forecasting and budgeting- The term forecasting refers to the knowing of how many
and what kind of personnel resources required by the organisation for a specific project
during a unsure time of the year like holiday demand. And the term budgeting focus on
knowing how much personnel may a company afford to have on their hand. Through the
forecasting and the budgeting tool, McDonald’s can balance their workforce and
workloads in a global business environment as according to the labour changes (Santra,
2021).
Staff scheduling- It is a important aspect which helps the companies to automate staffing
in accordance with their vacations, availability, workload and absences. If the

will be a time consuming and an inefficient process for them.
Vacation and leave planning- Through this workforce management system tool, this can
allow the organisation to track faculty levels and digitally handle time-off requests and
approvals. Generally, it tracks the leave-taking balances, paid time off, absences, time off
calenders, schedule battle and banked time. Through this tool, they can have a complete
records of every employee's vacation and their leave balances.
Time and attendance- With the use of this tool, the firm can track the time and
attendance of their employees which helps them to predict better alteration in need and
manage formed and unplanned staff absences or leaves. Through this, the company can

In this report, we concluded that McDonald's has to take use of four building blocks of strategy
and there is a positive as well as negative impact of artificial intelligence on the business
strategy. After analysing all the positive and negative impacts, McDonald's has to manage their
workforce in the global business environment through the use of workforce management system
which includes some activities like forecasting, budgeting, staff scheduling, vacation and leave
planning and many other related activities. At last, artificial intelligence improves the efficiency
