PART 2
Analyses of contemporary issue in organizational behaviour using knowledge of social
psychology
Social Psychology is scientific study of the way people feel, though and belief while
interacting with other individuals. In another words, its is related to the study of the way group or
individuals behaviour is influence by other or whom them live. Contemporary issue are current
issue that currently affecting most of the people and places and are unresolved. Furthermore,
external environment is dynamic in nature therefore they are various challenges or key issues
that company faces while performing its task (Wang, Pollock and Hauseman, 2018). This essay
has consisted of analysis related to contemporary issue in organization behaviour through
making use of knowledge of social psychology.
Organization behaviour refer to the study pertaining to the individual or group
performance or activity in order to find alternative method that could be used to improve the
performance. It is systematic study pertaining to the way individual and group work together as a
team for achievement of desired outcome. In current scenario, there are different contemporary
issue in organizational behaviour such as absence of clear direction, facing difficulties in
blending multiple personality into unified team, poor communication etc (Kabra and et.al.,
2017). All these are directly impacting on organization behaviour and performance of each
individual so strategy in order to cope up with same need to be implemented for better outcome.
Most of the organization is facing issue pertaining to providing a clear direction to
employees related to the way a particular task need to be completed so that firm can achieve
the end objectives. Such as, as the market is ever-changing so the manager is facing issue related
to taking decision related to task that need to be completed by each individuals that could be
used by the firm to grow and sustain its market (McKenna, 2020).
Secondly, contemporary issue related to organization behaviour is difficulties in
blending multiple personalities or diverse range of people to work together as a team for
achievement of end goals. For example: Each and every individual have its own perspective or
point of view, along with that they belong to a particular culture so that they face difficulties in
understanding each other. Thus, lack of communication and coordination lead in creating

confusion and conflict among the employees related to the way a particular task need to be
accomplish and objectives are achieved. (Wilson, 2018).
Along with it, poor communication between diverse range of people working in the
organisation is also one of the key contemporary issue in business organization, as people are
less interested to communicated with each other. That resulted in creating barrier between them,
increases chance of conflict and confusion to maximum extend. Such As they are not aware
about the task and responsibilities that they need to performed while completing their respective
task that result in wasting of time and energy of individual.
But, effective communication is significant for the company as it helps in binding diverse
range of people to work for growth and development of people (Podgorodnichenko, Edgar and
McAndrew, 2020). So, manager need to plan strategies to promote communication in the firm
for earning high profit margin and sustain its operation in competitive environment. There are
many individuals that are not aware about what is happening in external environment because of
their daily busy routine, nor they like to much interact with each other. Thus, it create challenges
for company to motivate employees to adapt themself as per the current scenario.
Companies are also facing key issue related to hiring and retaining talented individual
within the firm. For examples: there are various firm that have high turnover ratio because of
ineffective work culture, salary and other benefits provided to the employees. Along with it,
Employees wants to be part of company that follow ethical practices, principles and values while
performing its task. So, it is challenges to effective manage and motivate each individuals that is
working in the company for its overall benefits.
In addition to this, there are many employees that resist to adapt themself as per the
changes in external environment but the company through forcing them to change lead in high
turnover (Wang, Pollock and Hauseman, 2018). Furthermore, companies are not able to promote
open and healthy communication between employees, equality within the workplace that has
resulted in negatively impacting on the overall performance of organization as well as company.
Manager for increasing the profit of the firm infleunce or force employees to work over
time or more than their capabilities that results in challenges in effective operation of business in
external environment. Likewise, employees of many companies are facing work life balance
is issue as the people that are working in company are pressured to do more task, even
force to work on holiday that result in imbalance of their work life. Thus directly impact on

their health and well being in long term. So they decided to resigned that lead in losing
highly talented employees from the firm. Along with this, sometimes human resource
manager is not able to find out right individual at right place that cause high turnover. Or
inappropriate salary are given that lead them making unhappy and dissatisfied to work for
organisation benefits. Therefore, it can be stated that firm need to work over reducing the
challenges pertaining to the organizational behaviour so that it can stay ahead in competition.
