Discuss
contemporary
developments
in the use of
PM application
systems
The topic discussed in the week 10 and 11, I came to know about the
contemporary development in the usage of Project management
application system. From the lecture classes I have understood the
application of system life cycle processes. If all the processes are
properly followed by the project manager and project team members
then within assigned time and budget the project would be able to meet
the expected objectives and consumers expectation as well. System
development life cycle helps to establish proper business environment
that supports desired organizational processes. These project
management life cycle processes are supported by different tools and
techniques.
I have understood the details application of these tools and techniques. I
have also understood that, based on the project requirements the
project managers need to set standards and benchmarks. I have learned
the application of different project processes such as project planning,
decision making, risk and opportunity management, configuration
management and information management etc. I have learned that
based on the project application both automatic and manual information
management system can be used.
However, automatic information management is much beneficial than
the automatic information management. Ian Alexander (2001) Systems

Engineering: A Requirements Engineer's Viewpoints are also discussed in
the class lectures. I have learned about the different system engineering
application components. I came to know that software engineering is an
important part of system engineering. Overall, it can be said that
stakeholder analysis is an important application that helps to realize the
project success and consumers expectations.
