INTRODUCTION
Public services are tend to be considered as a so essential for the modern society in order
to fulfill the needs of the people. These services are generally provided by the government to the
people living within its jurisdiction. This is mainly represented through the social consensus with
the facilities in which certain services are available to all the people in the society. This report
will be completely based on the British Broadcasting Corporation which is a British Public
service Broadcast company. It is the public service organization which mainly provides the
broadcasting of news and other current affairs. This Study will help in developing a clear
understanding about the organization structure and operational activities of the public
organization.
Moreover the report will also develop a understanding about the actions and directions of
the Public sector which influence the public decision via media news. Also, it will also provide
various different types of funding sources which are adopted by the public sector organizations
and its impact on the Public sector. The present study will also create an understandability
regarding the strategies which are adopted by the Public sector organization in order to improve
the performance as well customer satisfaction. Along with this the development of the public
service organization will also been explored in order to understand the evolution of the Public
services.

At the time of independence public sector is not taking part in the economic activity of
the country. As there were not much involvement of public services for the development. There
were only railways, port trust and the aircraft. After independence there is a huge expansion in
the public sector that was governed under the Industrial policy,1956. After this policy there are
many changes occurred in the public sector enterprises. As in this various facilities is provided to
the people who are working under this (Ferlie and Ongaro, 2015). They are given facilities such
as respect of credit, allocation of resources, preference in the market etc.
Nowadays, public sector is growing day by day and has a large share in the market. Due
to changes in the technology that will help in enhancing this sector to one level up. This includes
departmental enterprises, financial institutions and government companies. As non-departmental
enterprises having 75 percent of addition in the value and there is growth in the investment is of

is very important to initialize the business. In order to generate the revenue and profitability
within the organization, it is very important to fund the company in order to perform the
operational activities within the firm. As the BBC gets the money from the TV Licenses and it do
not take the money from companies or shareholders so it does not have to do what they want.
Therefore the funding for the BBC are usually raised through a variety of methods that includes
the Taxes, fees and financial transfer from other level of government (Lowe and Bardoel, 2016).
Different governments from around the world that may employ their own methods for funding of

approach within the society. The strategic and main purpose of the organization involves the
strategic content, process and strategic context. Therefore the firm operates the business to fulfill
the main purpose and adopt the strategies in order to allow the organization to accomplish the
main purpose of BBC (White, Wyn and Robards, 2017). British Broadcasting corporation
mainly focuses towards the Business, corporate and network level strategy. Therefore the Board
sets the strategy for the corporation in order to access the performance of the BBC executive
board which helps in delivering the effective BBC services and also Director general was
appointed in order to maintain the Responsibilities and duties related with the Broadcasting of
the radio as well as news information. Strategies are generally divided into three types that is
