INTRODUCTION
Developments of the business and management is the effective ideas, opinions and
suggestion which leads to the success and growth of the company in the future and present
condition of the market. The developments of the business and management is essential to
increase the revenue, expansion of the business in the global markets and increase in the level of
the profits of the company. This report evaluates the development strategies of the Scottish and
southern energy plc (SSE) company which is the largest company of gas production in the UK.
The headquarter of the SSE is at the Perth, UK which provides the variety of services related to
the gas in the market. Different external factors which influences the effectiveness of the
company in the market are explained in this file. In this file there is determination of the different

helps the government of the increasing the gas in the greater extent in the UK.
Economical factors: This factor affects the total demand, supply, investments and the
environment of the business of SSE plc by changes in the interest rates, inflation rates, GDP and
present economic stage. This will increases the profits of the company at the higher rate and
sometime leads to the loss of the company also. By the development of the new station of the
power and products of the markets of the power SSE plc will contributed largely to the economy
of the UK. The company will employees 19,200 people in their business operation and will helps

problem related to the pressure of the social demands so it will influence their large size
business. They introduces the various kinds of rewards and profits for the employees who works
for the betterment of the society in the business. They production of the gas in the company will
done to make sure that the health of the people and environment are not affected in the society.
Technological factors: SSE plc makes changes in the business activities by changing the
existing technology with the new and advanced technology. To increase the supply of the gas
and energy there is need of the effective technology in the business. The use of the new
technology will makes the work easier and faster. The advantages of the competitors is increases
by developing the technology in the business operation of the SSE plc.

Threats of new entrants: In the business of the SSE plc the threats of the new entrants is
very because it creates difficulty for the other company to achieve the cost advantages. For the
new entry in the market the production of the gas and energy is requires high amount of money
to compete with the SSE plc (Zakrzewska-Bielawska and Staniec, 2020). For operating the
business of the production of the gas government imposes various restriction so the new entrants
will requires the licence so it is difficult for the new companies to join the business of the
generation of the energy and gas. The company fulfils the need and wants of the people by
introducing the new station of power in the country by giving response to the changes and
impacts of the new entrants.
Threats of substitute products: The availability of the substitute products and services

society. The company is responsible for the well-being of the society and environment in their

employment to the various number of the people of the country which makes them responsible
for the betterment of the society (Lis, 2020). This will reduces the level of the unemployment in
the society and maintains the good and effective image of the brand in the minds of the customer.
The sustainability and CSR will helps the company to take the effective decision in the business
operation which leads to the goals and objectives of the business.

technological factors are affects the effective business of the company as per the changes in the
market. These external forces increase the profits of the company but at the same point if there is
the adverse changes in the environment will also increases the chances of loses. Each and every
company are responsible for the betterment of the society so they make the effective plans and
policies in the business which will makes the society and better and achieve the target and goals
in the future. The company have to adopts the techniques of the production which protect the
environment and also the health of the people living in the country. Different policies and
practices of the CSR will influences the decision making policy of the company and achieve
business objectives in the near future. The company improve various areas in their business
activities which helps them to reach the success in the future.
