Globalisation is defined as a procedure in which organisations or business develops
international influence and start conducting their business operation at International scale. In this
process there is a free flow of political activities, culture, economic activities, labour, raw
material etc among different countries. In addition to this globalisation is defined as a spread of
technology, products, and individuals across natural as well as cultural borders.
Tourism industry is a part of service sector and is one of the most important and leading
industrial sector in terms of income in many countries. This industry provides different type of
facilities to customers (Van Niekerk, 2017). In addition to this, this industry is also known as
travel industry and offer wide range of travelling facilities to consumers in a domestic and
international manner. This can be for social pleasure or business purposes. Tourism industry is
closely connected with hospitality and transport industry. Tourism is defined as an activity that
allows individuals to make free flow of movement from one location to other. It is defined as a
world largest industrial sector that drives economy of many nations in a best effective manner. It
has been identified that tourism industry provides different type of attractive facilities and
benefits to tourists. In this tourists are actually identified as an individual those who drive from
one location to other (Steele, Dredge and Scherrer, 2017). It has been identified that tourist
mainly get motivated by a wide range of factors like entertainment, refreshment of mind or body,
pursuit of excitement and more. Thus, in order to thrive mind sets of tourists in a well defined
manner tourism industry significantly attracts their attention with different type of attractive
benefits. In addition to this it has been identified that tourism not only ensures profitability of
organisation those who conduct their operation within industry but also provide different type of

economic benefits to a nation. As it effectively attract wide range of visitors those who can spend
their money and boost local business within country. In addition to this by being world’s largest
industry, tourism industry offer different type of job opportunities to individual. In addition to
this it has been defined that tourism industry is having formative potential in order to make
significant improvement in the relationship among different nation business and further create
opportunities to improve value of currency. It has been evaluated that tourism is a cultural
exchange of opportunity and encourage tourists with the different and attractive facilities to lead
improved and happy life.
It has been identified that there are different type of sectors those who perform their
operation within tourism industry. In this certain sectors include transportation, airline, car rental,
water transport, railway and spacecraft, cruise services. While another sector in tourism industry
is accommodation that includes hotels, shared accommodation, hostels, camping, bed and
breakfast, cruise, house accommodation and accommodation and time share accommodation.
Along with this, food and beverage sector is also play interesting role in tourism industry. It
involve catering, restaurants, night clubs and bar and cafes. Further it has been evaluated that
tourism industry also involves entertainment facilities in which they offer customers with the
facilities related to casinos and shopping. Along with other connected industry with respective
industry are financial services, travel agent, tour operators, online travel agency, and tourism
organisation.
It has been identified that tourism industry is fast evolving and provide different type of
services to modern travellers in order to ensure their maximum satisfaction. In addition to this, it
has been identified that there are different type of emerging trends that are keep on changing in a
faster manner that provide wide range of opportunities for tourism industry to grow in
international market place (Moscardo and at. al., 2017). It has been identified that globalisation
significantly impact upon tourism in number of ways. As globalisation involve free flow of raw
material, labour, technology and cultural aspect among different countries. Thus this factor holds
great importance for tourism industry. It has been evaluated that globalisation and tourism are
closely depend on each other as because of globalisation individual from different countries are
allowed to easily exchange their ideas as well as values and can make their tour to any location
around the world. However, the different type of factors likes cultural, environmental, political,
technological and economic that significantly impact upon tourism industry.

This has been determined that, globalisation positively impact on tourism industry by
increasing global mobility. It allows companies to conduct their operations and open their offices
at any location. Along with this, change of currencies becomes easier because of globalisation
that provides significant benefit to tourism in a big way. Globalisation also allows free flow of
information. Further this has been evaluated globalisation also allow free flow of individual from
one location to another. This significantly benefits tourism industry, as in this they can recruit
candidates from any location and can serve tourist with their local taste. For instance Sydney is
home to the world’s best food; in this tourism industry from any other location rather than
Sydney can offer delicious food by recruiting Chefs from Sydney in order to provide delicious
food of Sydney to individual in all around the world. In addition with this development of
transportation technology is also one of the significant impacts of globalisation upon tourism. As
it allow individuals to make their travel possible via any transport facility. Further it has been
evaluated that there is a wide use of common language in organisations those who conduct their
services in tourism industry. This is only possible with globalisation. In addition to this it, also
allow restaurant industry to expand their business services and offer traditional foods to
individual of different location. It effectively leads towards development of catering industry
which is also one of the most important segments in tourism industry.
Thus, as per the above evaluation it has been identified that globalisation act as one of the
significant aspect and impact upon tourism industry in a positive manner by providing different
type of facilities tourism industry (Park, 2018). It not only it them with free flow of individual,
transportation in a quick and cheap manner but also aid tourist to make their travel in a easier
manner and interact with the different destinations and explore different places anywhere in the
world.
However, globalisation can also impact negatively upon tourism industrial sector as there
are certain factors like terrorism which has been increased due to globalisation and can affect
tourism industry in different manner. It is easier for criminals as well as weapons to freely move
from one country to other country. Along with this poverty is also one of the significant factor
that can impact upon tourism industry, as if a nation is poor and is still developing then it can
restrain tourism industry to flourish their business operation. In this there is requirement of large
investment to generate high profitability in that location.

Thus, it has been evaluated that tourism industry is one of the most important sector that
effectively contribute towards economic growth as well as employment generation in world. It
has been evaluated that there are maximization in number of destination worldwide those are
open up in order to generate high revenue. It has been evaluated that now a day’s tourism
industrial sector is emerging out to be the major source for revenue for any nation. Thus
investment in this industry is increasing at faster rate. Further, this industry is not only generating
employment but also ensure best effective development of infrastructure. Along with this, this
industry continuously diversify and grow in order to become world’s largest as well as faster
sector as tourism industry attracts national and international tourist with different type of
facilities and attract their attention by offering them maximum satisfaction.
Thus, according to above evaluation it has been identified that there are wide range of
benefits that globalisation provides to tourism industrial sector. All these have positive impact
upon my chosen career Guest service manager in a well effective manner. As with the help of
taking advantage of globalizing factor I can effectively able to lure attention of guest by offering
them wide range of benefits. Along with this globalisation also allow me to get job opportunity
in any place I want as to effectively flourish my profile career.
