Distinguished elements of travel and tourism industry and focus on how they correlated
In order to grow and flourish in the international market travel and tourism adopts various
elements in the open market (Dasgupta, 2011). In the cutthroat competitive world Travel and
Tourism is the quickest flourishing sector. To accomplish huge profits in the neck to neck
competition organization investigate various element so that potential customers emerging needs
can be full filled. The various types of elements are explained as follow:
Direct Elements: - In travel and tourism sector these are the elements which attract
potential consumers directly in order to enjoy the availing services like, rooms, transportation,
ride, etc. Here are some of the direct services prevailing in the open market such as
accommodation in hotel, food and beverage facilities etc. For example: While visitors staying in
any hotel if their provided facilities such as accommodation or food facilities are not up to their
desire level. As for example , quite recently, according to Telegraph , out of almost 4,300
responses by surveys taken from individuals, it was determined that Annual ranking of Britannia
Hotels within the UK has worst ratings out of all and its 54 hotels in Britain have received not
more than 2 stars on any forum or responses from customers. Thus, in case a hotel indulges in
such an activity, then it will directly create negative impression on the goodwill of the firm due
to which client visiting the place will decrease gradually (Falk, 2012).
Indirect Elements: - It is another type of element prevailing in the open market. However,
it is related with electricity, Wi-Fi connectivity facilities, cleanliness in the room, etc. which
directly or indirectly provides pleasant experience to the customers and are enjoying their service
offered to them. Moreover, when these services are offered by the organization it frames a
positive image in the mind of customers. As well as build brand image of the company in the
global market due to which sales volume is raised at large scale.

Interrelation of these both elements can be supported by the using example as discussed below
In the maket place when a visitor books a tour package with a travel agency it basically
investigates the best place along with facilities such as, accomodation, transportation and food
and beverage facilities. In Direct Elements when travellers visit the destination than they search
out for the good electricity and the Wi-Fi facilities. Here, when both the needs of the travellers
are fully satisfied they enjoy their vacation or trip completely. And have a long term experience
within the respective industry and build positive image in the mind of the customers (Hall,
2013). However, this will ensure maximum satisfaction to the customers and helps to generate
more success and profitability in the Travel and Tourism industry. So, it can be said both the
elements and interrelated to each other in the neck to neck competition.
