INTRODUCTION
Tours and travel industry is increasing and providing various offers to tourists. Titan
travel company of UK covers all continents ranging from rail journey & river cruises to small
group adventures. This study will discuss about some elements that can help the company in
increasing customers experience (Radojevic, Stanisic and Stanic, 2015).

P1 Key milestone in the development of the travel & tourism industry
There are several important elements and key milestone that play an important role in the
development of the travel and tourism industry. Technological development, transport
development, lifestyle changes etc. All this milestone have several positive impacts on this
industry.
Technological development 1990: Technological development means development in
technologies that are being used in travel & tourism industry. It is stated that technology has
increased rapidly since the invention of internet. The main changes and benefit which this
industry and tourists got is online booking. Since the 1960's technology has increased with
innovative products including check in systems at airports by which customers can make their
experience easier. Some examples of technological development includes: call centres, digital
TV etc.
Transport development: Transport also play a vital role in the travel and tourism
industry. Development in transport has satisfied consumers changing demands from safer, more
safer to the most comfortable & affordable. Transport system not only satisfy and serve needs of
customers but also provide job opportunities. Different types of transport includes air, rail, road
and water. In the context of rail transport it is stated that during the 1950's people took their
journey by steam trains. Now and by 1960's this rail transport developed to diesel train (Cohen
and Cohen, 2018). This diesel train was much clean, faster and also have the more capacity to
load in the greater quantity.
Destination development 1966: Through promotion and popularity, destinations have
also developed since 1960's. Many years ago most of the destinations were not known and many
