Contemporary tourism is a new approach that are used for refreshing the meaning of tourism and
developing according the modern world by considering all the factors which are going to be
affect the economic. Development of tourism defines the maintenance and growth of the tourism
industry at a particular locality. It also includes all the activities related to creating strategies or
plan for encouraging, developing and increase the phase of tourism for particular destination
(Alola and et.al., 2021). There are three ways for developing the tourism such as inbound,
outbound and domestic, it important to develop according to the modern world because
according to current era it is become world largest sector and benefited in many terms such as
generate the jobs for people in order to creation of income. In UK this is important source of the
welfare because it is a long-term program as per the designer of development. There are so many
significant factors of contemporary tourism that helps to grow economy, on large scale this
sector offers great alternative for all the industries in are related to that sector privately and
nationally. It encompasses many jobs all over the world in different areas such as restaurants,
hotels, tour companies, car rental, souvenir shops, sports equipment etc (Alola and et.al., 2021).
All the sectors are attracted many of employees for this opportunity all over the community. At

the educational and economic growth by generating good number of revenues, this income is
beneficial for the nation in order to improve the infrastructure of the economy and take the
initiate for environment as per the sustainability of resources. This is also promoted by the
technological advancement that are attract good number of tourists every year (Aman and et.al.,
2019).
There are both positive and negative impact of the tourism, positive impacts are
development of private sector and foreign exchange earnings. Tourism played a very important
role in order to development of private sector; tourism sector invest large number of money and
time in context to training and marketing. Tourism gives big opportunities for those who are
likely to join private sector and get good amount of salary. This sector involves all the
departments such as hospitality industry in which resorts, inn, pension, motels, apartment hotels
etc. Another one department is food and beverages which includes disco, travel, restaurant,
institutional food services etc (Liao and Chuang, 2020). Tourism also helps to create foreign
exchange earnings, this income is generated by host economy, every country invests more
money to build tourism sector attractive. Increasing foreign exchange results helps to increase
the interest in tourist to venture abroad, also increases the expenditure that helps to affect
positively by generating income.
The negative impacts of are based on the high infrastructure cost and multiple leakage, there
are very large number of investments needed in the tourism sector (Bakhtiyrovich, 2020). For
example, all the tourism companies are stopped while covid-19 pandemic, which caused so much
loss to them on that time company paid their loans and not get any customers from 2 years. The
cost of infrastructure is in billions, Premier inn is very popular hotel of the London UK, and
because of covid-19 they get loss of 200 million within 2 years. It is important to maintain the
infrastructure but it is not possible for all the companies to adopt new technologies. On other
hand, tourism sector cause multiplier of leakage issue because the marginal dollars are goes into
the taxes, imports and saving. Organisation have to pay large number of taxes while they leave
local economy for foreign companies or multinational corporations.
Environmental impact on the tourism sector is getting attention nowadays because it has positive
and negative impacts. Positive impact such as raised awareness about the sustainability
development (Chilufya, Hughes and Scheyvens, 2019). The most important aspect of tourism
should be sustainability, because of tourism there are many companies are likely to promote

environmentally services. Such as, Ritz hotel of UK promote their service by aware people about
the respecting environment. This company are use all the decoration with eco-friendly products
which are not harm the environment. Tourism sector also take care of their guest by providing
good quality of water, there are so many organisations in UK who are likely to made energies by
waste management (Goffi, Masiero and Pencarelli, 2018). Such as, G Adventures is a very well-
known tours company that generate energy in order to avoid use of oil, gas and electricity. This
promotes the sustainability so that people are getting high quality of water.
On other hand, there are so many negative impacts are also realized on environmental
impact mainly such as forest fires and destruction of plants or scatter waste in public places.
There are so many people who are not aware about fire nearby grass of forest get the fire because
people throw fire while campaign or throw the matchstick on dry grass that catches fire suddenly
and destroyed the whole forest within seconds. It causes air pollution as well as impacted bad on
the natural disasters. Also, tourist is throwing there garbage near by coastal areas, such as pond,
lakes, seas, rivers etc. This caused water pollution and create the problem of sewage system,
amphibians like fish, tortoise, crab etc are deid because of that waste and also harm environment
as well (Hellmeister and Richins, 2019). For example, in year 2016 there are very deep fire
catches by forest that caused air pollution and 4-5 people are injured this.
Socio-culture refers to change in behaviour of people, lifestyle and quality of life, there is
positive and negative impact of tourism. Positive impacts such as employment and income
generation and cultural awareness, tourism have large number of departments so that people can
get job according to their interest. It helps for all department of people such as restaurant, taxis,
hotels, travel etc (Hidayatullah and et.al., 2017). This is the largest sector of the world that
creates large number of employments. Another positive impact of the tourism is to create cultural
awareness among all the people who are likely to exchange cultural by visiting new places and
understand in better way. For example, there are so many people are working who are not
belongs to UK, but tourist also like to dress like different culture when they are visit that kind of
places. Visitors are likely to try food from different culture so that increases the brand awareness
among all of them (Mano, Mayer and Fratucci, 2017).
There are also negative impacts that are rises related to social culture, such impacts are
social change and loss of authenticity. Social change refers to the situation where local people of
small towns and villages are changes their behaviour, costumes etc because when tourist visit

their places, they are copy them for becoming modern. That is why new generation are likely to
adopt new culture and forget about their traditional culture. Also, tourism sector is likely to adopt
artificial tradition that are create loss of authenticity (Látková and et.al., 2018). They forget about
the moral of that place and cultural of people, hospitality sectors are like to make their
infrastructure for attract tourist in order to social culture but somewhere it cause loss of
authenticity. For example, when people of UK visit African tribes, they distract people for their
costume and change their thought process.

of the world, there are so may different sectors are available in tourism industry. Also, explained
