Content Management System or CMS is a web-based management system that
manages the modification as well as the creation of the digital contents for a company. This
supports multiple user access within the collaborative environment of the company. A CMS

application (Seibert et al., 2015). This report focuses on an organization that is United
Nations Regional Information System, which uses content management system to keep a
track of their digital contents. The significance of this CMS for the organization is clearly
represented both operationally and strategically. The effective use of web-based CMS is
provided in the assignment further.

A web based CMS is said to be a software system that provides authoring of the
websites, the administrative tools regarding the organization as well as the collaborations that

Most CMS’s uses a database to for storing the content of the store, the metadata of the
