This research project investigates the significance of contextualising approaches to talent management within Debenhams, a British online retailer. The study aims to identify effective talent management strategies, such as developing job descriptions and providing development opportunities, and their impact on employee retention and company performance. The research explores the challenges Debenhams might face without these approaches, including increased employee turnover and a negative impact on brand image. The methodology includes a deductive research approach, a survey strategy, and a quantitative research methodology using questionnaires. The findings, based on data from Debenhams managers, highlight the importance of talent management in ensuring business success and competitiveness. The project concludes with recommendations for Debenhams and suggestions for future research, emphasizing the need for effective talent management practices to achieve organizational goals.
