INTRODUCTION
Continuous improvement project refers to the process that are related to improvement in
the sales, finance, or other departments in the organization(Psomas and Jaca, 2016). The main
aim of this project is to improve efficiency of doing work and make it effective in a certain
period of time. There are different measures that will improve performance as analysing
opportunity, improve process and control process.
Present study will be based on Biz ops Enterprises. It aims in providing the best quality
products to its customers and a leading manufacturer and retailer of different products.
Report will include meaning of continues performance improvement and who can take
initiative to improve it. It also includes PDCA cycle and different communication strategy such
as brainstorming, consensus etc. Furthermore, it will include business plan of Biz Ops and data
sources and explanation of DMAIC. It includes meeting sustainability requirement and
legislations that is governed under this project.

MAIN BODY
1.a) Initiative take to participate in the decision making process of this project
Sustainability environmental policy will help in taking initiative to participate in various
sectors of the economy. It invests in the corporate social responsibility and sustainability that
will help in managing different risks and responsibilities that encourage in decision making
process. Standards and ethical legal business of behaviour is maintained to improve behaviour of
people in Biz Ops enterprises(Dong and et.al., 2015). Targets can be achieved by developing
improvement in sustainability that are related to stakeholders, supply chain and environmental
impact. Some initiatives are related to recyclable and renewable materials that can be used again

by Biz Ops head office. It also emphasizes in installing smart lighting system that will control
the energy consumption level.
There are different communication strategies that can be used such as brainstorming
refers to strategy in which efforts are made to find out the conclusion of problem by collecting
ideas. Fish bond diagram is also known as cause and effect diagram that is used to identify the
cause of the problem and ultimately finds solution of it. Mind mapping is another strategy that
helps in representing different ideas and concepts that helps in analysing and generate new one.
These strategies will help in improving opportunities for future.
b) CPI and methods used by the company for achieving business plan
Continuous performance improvement refers to a process in which performance of
products and services will be improved by making efforts for the purpose of making it better so
that quality product is being provided to the customer. It also helps in improving employee
engagement that will reduce turnover rates(Jiang, Chuang and Chiao, 2015). CPI will initiate by
the Human resource of the company. As it is important to improve performance for the future as
it helps in growth so that goal can be achieved easily.
Cycle that is being used is PDCA that consist of four steps such as plan, do, check and
act. This will help in improving processes and products. Plan is related for designing and
implementing new ideas and concepts that will help in give desired results to Biz Ops
enterprises. Do involves start doing the work from the previous step of planning as after deciding
the step small changes will be tested and data is being gathered so that available data is made
effective to make changes in the company. Check is the another step that will help in
determining whether the steps are correct or not or any error occurred or not. Act is the last step
in which action is to be taken to identify issues and problems in the company.
PDCA plan can be implemented in the continuous performance improvement process as
for improving the performance proper planning is being done for getting better results in the
future. This plan can be executed as firstly planning is being done that what is being done in the
first how to improve performance and what resources is being used to implement this process.
For this proper planning is being made and then see that how performance can be improved and
after that proper checking is being done so that there may not occur any problem while
implementing process(Noe and et.al., 2017). Lastly, action is taken to implement resources in the
company so that they are capable of taking decision for the future.

2.a) Continuous improvement procedures
There are five steps under continuous improvement procedures are as follows:
Define:- This step help in identify opportunities for the future. This defines different resources
that is being used in making decisions for the company. In this business processes is being
developed and various strategies is being used to complete. Tools that is being used are gap
analysis, customer feedback and action plan.
Measure:- After defining improvement measures is being taken to evaluate the success of
project. Different methods is being used to measure performance. Six sigma process is also
calculated for the performance measurement and in this different tools are used such as charts,
graphs and data analysis etc.
Analyse:- In this opportunity is being analysed and problem statement is understandable. There
are so many things that can be analysed during this stage. Tools that is used are hypothesis
testing, statistics, fish bone diagram etc.
Improve:- Here, improvement is done that is identified, evaluate in advance. Change
management strategy is implemented that will help in developing strategy for the future(Bush,
Bell and Middlewood, 2019). Tools are cost-benefit analysis, project planning were used for
continuous improvement in the performance.
Control:- This is the last stage for improving performance in this understanding is built for
planning and execution that is being done and also ensure achievement of the targeted results. In
this tools that is used are project planning and PDCA cycle.
b) Organisational chart
Organisational chart consist of different people such as team leader, resource locator,
planner, manager and member of the team. They all have to report to managing director of the
Biz Ops enterprises. Every member of the team are fully involved in the work that is given to
them. Each member of the team is involving into the decision making in the company. There are
so many levels of management is there that is used to analyse the performance of different team
members in Biz Ops. There are many roles that is being conducted into the company for
direction of employees. Different company is having their own organisational structure. It helps
in getting involved into business who are taking the best decision for the company.
Organisational chart plays an important role without it company's operation is not working
properly(Klinga and et.al., 2016). In this there are several ways to influence people involving in

the decision. Team member helps in doing work effectively and efficiently. There are many
sources that is useful in making various decision in the company. Effective team will help in
getting in the future. Team members are such that all are active participants in the company for
get focused into it so that team building activities is being encouraged for various purpose in the
Biz Ops that will be more beneficial for me to get involved.
c) Tools used at every step
There are different tools that is used in every stage of the project are as follows:
Customer Feedback:- This tool is used to identify continuous performance of employees in the
company. Feedback will help in identifying the views regarding Biz Ops enterprises. By taking
feedback from the employees will help in improving performance at each and every step in the
company from decision making to hiring candidate for future growth.
Data Analysis:- This is used in analysing data that is expressed in the form of numerical facts
and figures. This tool helps in measuring performance as well as success in the project that is
measured performance of employees in the company. There are various techniques that is being
used to analyse performance of the company.
Hypothesis testing:- This is used to analyse the problem that is occurred while doing a project.
There are so many problems that comes while doing project in the company. Testing plays an
important role in the company for doing work comfortably. In this testing is being done to
improve quality of product for the future course of action.
Fish bone diagram:- This tool is being used to identify the cause and effect of the problem.
Through this performance can be improved as there are so many measures to control the overall
performance in a certain period of time(Wu and Chen, 2015).There are some problems that is
being occurred while improving continuous performance.
Cost-benefit analysis:- This is the best approach that is being used to analyse the strength and
weakness of the alternatives that is available in various form to the employees in the company. It
is being analysed that cost will help in providing various benefits to the company. It also helps in
determining cost as well as project functioning in the company. This will depend on the accuracy
of the employees that how they will work.
d) Sustainability environmental and professional development policy
Biz Ops enterprise is involving in various activities that is operated in different sectors in
the economy. This policy is implemented to assess corporate social responsibility and managing

environmental, social and economic risks and responsibilities. This helps in providing
sustainable outcomes as well benefit to the stakeholders. It creates new opportunities and helps
in improving social and environmental returns. This policy is related to some measures that is
being taken into consideration for maintaining environmental balance.
It includes maintaining high standards of ethical and legal business behaviours and
developing targets for future course of action. For improving supply chain have to engage with
the suppliers(Thorpe, 2016). This policy offers innovative and sustainable products that is being
used by people. It also preserves heritage and culture. Initiatives that is being taken under this
policy are as follows:-
Waste product will be recyclable and used again for conducting programs.
150 megalitre water tank is installed so that this water will be used in wash rooms.
Smart lightning system and energy efficient lights that will be electronically monitored
and controlled.
Rebate for the employees who are using public transport and car pools.
Professional development policy provided opportunities to employees of the Biz Ops to acquire
additional knowledge for their career development for future. Opportunity that is being
identifying are related to the development of review process. This policy undertaken some
purpose such as developing skills that can meet significant changes in current work of employees
and career development within Biz Ops enterprises.
Sustainability can be meet by including regulations and social responsibility, ecological
footprint, waste treatment and environmental management systems.

f) Mentoring and coaching helps in participate in CPI project
Mentoring and coaching is supported by managers that is being conducted while
improving performance of members in the team. There are many ways that will be able to
improve continuous performance of employees. If coaching and mentoring is provided the best
then employees take initiative to do work in the company. Mentoring and coaching focussed on
the sessions that is organised to identify problems that is occurred while improving performance.
As proper coaching and mentoring will help in getting involved into the activities of the
business. It is being taken into account that this will help in involving more employees in
participating in the project of CPI(Gopee and Galloway, 2017). This help in delivering various
projects that is being studied while taking mentoring and coaching. This practice will improve
efficiency and work is done in effective manner. These helps in building knowledge and
improving skills that helps in participating into various activities of the business.
g) Framework of the project
This project defines about the continuous performance improvement that how it can help
in improving performance of employees in Biz Ops enterprise. DMAIC is used different tools to
evaluate the performance. This project helped in improving communication also that will lead to
create growth for the company(Varghese and et.al., 2017). Key performance indicator is being
used to determine company's performance that will be essential to cope with market scenario.
h) Key performance indicator
Key performance indicator is used to identify the success of the company and how it can
be achieved objectives and performance. These will help in determining various aspects of the
organization that is related to implementing new idea and innovation at the workplace. Some
indicators that will show performance of Biz Ops enterprise are:

Profit:- This is most important indicator that shows performance of company as without this
company's financial position cannot be interpreted(Harrison, 2018). If financial condition of the
company is not good then its performance is not good. It is related to the professional
development as if the profit is more than its growth will increase and ultimately employees
development is enhancing.
Cost:- If the operating cost is less than the company is performing good. Cost will be depend on
the resources that is used in the company. Cost will also help in increasing performance and
development of an employee is necessary that indicate different perspective of it.
Cost of goods sold:- This will help in determining production cost of the company as if the
production cost is less than company is performing good. As less cost consumption will help in
determining various aspects of performance in the company. This will also help in professional
development that will lead to growth in the future.
Expenses and budget:- This will also help in identifying financial strength of the Biz Ops
enterprises. More expenses will lead to improve many things in the company as performance will
be based on budget and how much it will be spend will determine financial condition of the
company. If budget is properly decided then it will help in earning more profit as this gives
proper information regarding each and every expense of the company.
Customer satisfaction:- It is another indicator that shows performance of the company as how
many customers are satisfied with the company's product and services that will be helpful for it
to judge performance of the Biz Ops enterprise (Dhar, 2016). Customers are the king of the
market. So product and services are made on the basis of sales.
There are different key performance indicator that helps in CPI project. Profit shows the
performance of the company. As it is the base that help in measuring performance for future
course. It is important to evaluate performance as it will beneficial for success. Profit can be
measured by calculating cash flow in the company. It is also an important part of the company
that defines performance. Budget will also help in showing expenses and income that will be
incurred by the company for its enhancement. It can be measured through by inflow and outflow
of cash from the company. Customer Satisfaction is another key indicator that defines
performance as it can be measured by taking feedback from the customer. Through this company
is able to find out the needs and wants of customer. Cost of goods sold is also shows sales and

purchase that is being done by the company. It will be measured by evaluating stock present
while calculating income and excpenses.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded that continuous performance improvement help
in determining various aspects of the company. This project is depended on the performance that
is improved on continuous process. DMAIC defines various steps that is being used to analyse
the performance of the company. It is important to note that this project will fully depend on
improving performance of the company. Different legislations is being used to ensure equal
opportunity guidelines. Tools that are used to improve performance are cost-benefit analysis, gap
analysis, hypothesis testing and data analysis. Team is also prepared to improve performance that
will lead to growth for future course of action. Different communication strategies is being used
in the study like brainstorming, fine bone diagram, consensus and mind mapping.
