Introduction
The purpose of the essay is to explore the true nature of the human beings. It has been a
long debate as to judge whether the human beings are intrinsically good or intrinsically bad. The
connection of the Jesus Christ is a very deep one with the role of Christianity is very much
evident in the shaping up of the human beings (Smith 2016). God has always been known for
serving the justice on the human beings. This justice is being served by the nature of work he or
she has done. The culture of the human beings will surely depend upon their upbringing. The
desire of the human beings can be judged on how they would behave or take the vision to be
successful in life. Thus the nature of the human beings would surely vary indeed. The God has
always been careful enough to help the oppressed people in the world (Smith 2016). This is why
he has always made a plan on how to provide bigger opportunities to those who need it. God is
always very much passionate for the justice. This is why the worship of the Christ is very
important for the human beings to salvage the bad deeds he has already committed.
The nature of the human beings
According to the critics it can be said that the human beings do have some good and bad
natures within them. This is why they act according to that only. This has a direct connection
with that of the Christian theology or the Bible (Hick and Hebblethwaite 2014). Many
interpretations can be found in the Bible regarding this topic. It has been studied and found that
the human beings are not exactly of the nature how they are intended to be. The Bible has always
shown that human beings are not at all the born sinners nor do they deserve to be hated (Smith
2016). As per the beginning of the tradition of the tradition of humanity, the story of Adam and
Eve is the ultimate one. So, it can be said that the story of Adam and Eve is generally the story of
all the human beings. The interpretation leads to the belief that all the human beings are

intrinsically sinful or bad as Adam and Eve had committed the sin. However, the opposing things
can be seen in this case as well. It can be said that the all the human beings are made in the
image of the God. This is why it will be very much appropriate to shed the focus on the goodness
of the human beings as well (Bass 2013).
It is expected that the goodness of the God will surely reflect through the human beings.
However, this mirror image of God can be seen as the distorted image as well. That is why it will
be very much abrupt to judge the human beings on the scale of the good and bad only. The
human beings always perceive what is in front of them but they are unable to perceive the things
that are inherent (Bass 2013). This is why all the good things seems to them as something like
paradise or heaven that will be vanished at the breaking of the day. As the God is always the
image of ultimate goodness and human beings are beings are being created in the image of God,
it would not be good to call the human beings to be inherently bad or sinful. However, it can be
said in this scenario that the human beings sometimes do fall short of their ideals or commit the
sins (Inge 2017).
The causes for the human beings to cross the borders of the ideals or being involved in
the sins are something because of their lack of freedom. The human beings turn to disciples
when they worship the God and Jesus Christ. When the human beings commit the sins they will
need to cure their hearts from the evil of the sins (Bass 2013). This is why they must feel that
hunger and thirst so they can go beyond the barriers. The message of Jesus Christ has always
been to make the proper alignments between His loves and longings with that of the human
beings or the disciples (Stott 2017). Jesus Christ is believed to be the teacher who is not only the
divine figure but the one who will always guide the human beings to form the loves on the basis
of priority (Johnson 2012).

It can be said in this context that the purity of the human heart is always the most
important thing for being either good or bad. In the beginning pages of the Bible, the glory of the
human families can be seen indeed (McGrath 2016). The human race cannot be differentiated by
their classes ot genders. They can only be divided according to their deeds. This will be the most
important judgmental factor between the good and the evil (Johnson 2012). The first parents of
the human beings Adam and Eve were created as spiritually much healthy and whole. The
intrinsic nature of the human beings could be judged by the fact whether they will require to
disobey the instructions of the God and Jesus Christ. When all the creatures lived in the paradise
or heaven it did not take much time for Adam and Eve not to obey the instructions of God and
getting involved in the forbidden deed. In this scenario, it can be said that the face of God within
the humanity was badly affected. This is why it would be important to denote that the human
beings could were not able to sustain the good things (Inge 2017).
Intrinsically good and bad nature of the human beings
The nature of the human beings could be portrayed as faced by their immediate
environment. The first parents of the human beings had passed a damaged set of DNAs to their
children. This raises the fact that the human beings would not be good by their immediate
environment and sinful indeed (Johnson 2012). Thus the human beings are sinful by their birth.
The reality is very much aligned with this perspective. The perspective of the original sin cannot
be proved or given an overview without the help of the Christian belief or the doctrines. Another
religion that could be compared with that of the Christian belief is the Islam religion. The Holy
Prophet in Islam also has discussed about the sinfulness in this world and the human beings.
According to the Bible, the God is always perfect and it is the human beings who are involved in
the various kinds of sin need to be saved by the God Himself (McGrath 2016). Jesus Christ will

be the one who will save the souls of the people who are badly in need of it as they have
committed the sins. The Augustine Christian doctrine is of the opinion that all the human beings
are in born sinful because of the primary seen that was committed by their first parents. This
signifies the fact that the human beings are born with the urge to commit sinful deeds or not
obeying the God at all (Placher and Nelson 2013). This is supposed to be a very important
feature within the constraints of the Roman Catholic Church. This is why the terms like
‘salvation’ and ‘damnation’ have come into practice. The condemnation associated with this
fault or the sinful deed has been very tactfully explained by some of the critics over the centuries.
The original sin is indeed the cause of having so many wrong things within the world (Dowling
2012).
According to some of the experts of the Christian theology, they believe that the original
sin is not a deed that is committed by someone but it is a situation that defines the physical and
characteristics features of the human beings in general (Placher and Nelson 2013). The Roman
Catholic Church also believes that a new born baby who has not committed any deed yet is
damaged by the original sin by the forefathers of humanity (Anderson, 2014). As the human
beings are believed to be the sinners by their birth, it is indeed very important to know the ways
how these natural sins can be cured for the benefit of the human beings. There are some facts
that that work behind the sinful nature of the human beings. Some of the modern critical thinkers
have addressed this issue from some other angles. They are not unanimous with the doctrine of
the original sin but they think some of the factors have led to this sinful situation (Johnson 2013).
As the human beings are affected by the original sin from their birth only they will have
to suffer its consequences as well. This original sin will separate the human beings from the God
completely (Anderson, 2014). They will begin to feel the dissatisfaction and much guilt in their

lives as well. This will hamper their ethics and morality and result in their ultimate moral
breakdown. This will surely harm their way of life altogether. The harmful effects of the sinful
nature of the human beings will lead to the genocide, cruelty, abuse and exploitation of the
human beings (Gulley 2012). The universality of sin will be a huge problem for the humanity. It
is very important to note that the curing from the universal sin is very important. Human beings
are not always conscious in their minds. Sometimes the deliberate decisions of the human beings
lead to the unwanted conditions indeed (Kasper 2012). It will be highly important for the human
beings to be the perfect disciples of the God and the Jesus Christ. Apart from the practical
ideologies the human nature is intrinsically bad if it is viewed from the Christian theological
aspects. The Gospel has to be understood because one cannot interpret the Bible properly
without understanding the Gospel properly. The prayers are a very important part of the worship
(Noll 2013).
If the human beings worship Jesus Christ they will be cured of the sins they have already
have committed or the sins they are subjected to because of their birth as a human being (Noll
2013). It has been said in the prescribed book that the Christian worship is the only way to
salvage the sins of the human beings. The grace of Jesus Christ has been the most important
factor to get the salvation. The prayer can be dedicated to the Jesus Christ by saying “your
kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt 6:10). All the human beings
are embedded with the proper virtue. This is why the sinful nature of the human beings can be
overcome with the prayers for Jesus Christ. His care and forgiving attitude the human beings will
be the most important issue if the human beings would like to get out of their sins. Actually, the
human beings are capable of being good and evil at the same time (Kostenberger and O'Brien

2017). However, it is only up to them which option they will choose to be depending on their
ethics and morality.
Conclusion
As per the above discussion, the paper can be concluded that the human beings are
intrinsically bad from the point of view of the Bible. However, the practical ideologies will say
different things in this context. The intrinsic nature of the human beings can only be bad if it is
viewed from the aspect of the sin committed by the first parents of humanity, Adam and Eve.
This factor will have to be considered when viewing this topic and discussing it properly.
Finally, it can be said that the sinful natures will harm the humanity in numerous ways and the
human beings can salvage their sins by the prayers to Jesus and the grace of God. The God will
salvage the human beings of their sins and they can be able to start a new life.
