Abstract
This case study is based on the impact of green information technology on two IT
companies.
The companies chosen here are Control S Data Center and Infosys.
The purpose of the study is to find what these companies can do to change itself into a
green technology company.
To sustain in the future and to be secure, the IT companies are increasingly getting
concerned.
This is bringing in green IT practices which is good for the sustainability of the stakeholders.
The literature review section gives background of the companies chosen, and discuss about
what green It is.
Different green IT practices are given in details along with the way those can be adopted.
Recycle and reuse are the ways to solve this problem.

Green IT is a complete new concept which is related to the business organization of 21st

To make the future of these IT companies secure, they need to think about its sustainability.
In almost all the organizations of the world, where IT solutions are used, are giving
emphasis on making the whole process green.

If these green practices are adopted , it will be increase the financial value and economic

The software changes include 64 bit MS Office 2010 preinstalled on the ThinkPad.

20 ground level associates, and a teem of managers will be in charge of product delivery and connection,
while 5 members team will do technical auditing.
Expected time to complete the task is approximately 8 months.
Due to centralized days base, anyone can access the data from any ThinkPad from any place, with no need
of storing any information.

The whole process is one time investment, with long term benefit economically.
Negotiation with Microsoft was a big challenge along with the budget and downtime of the process.

Ctrl S Data Centre will bring environment friendly techniques, by replacing their desktops
with ThinkPad, which are preinstalled with MS office 10.
However, convincing Microsoft for the same was difficult.
It was a one time investment, which will bring eco friendly sustainability in the future for
along term.
Though shortage of budget and time was a challenge, still it will be worth it.
The user will be able to access the data, with just having the user ID and password, from
anywhere, and the need for storing data in personal computer will become unnecessary.
