Attractions
Coober Pedy is a great place that offers endless desert views and it is a great
destination for people to come here and enjoy the warmth of the place by escaping from the
drab monotony. Located in the state of South Australia to the south east portion of the desert
along with exceptional underground hotels offer great hospitality to the guests visiting the
place (Dutkiewicz, Landgrebe and Rey 2015). The major attractions include heritage sites
such as 13 Hutchison Street, which has a three roomed dugout and 9 Hutchison Street Coober
Pedy Catholic Church and Presbytery are among the few other major attractions present in
the destination. Something that most of the guests enjoy is the golf course present here where
one can plat at night with glowing golf balls so that the heat at daytime can be avoided. The
golf course is free from grass and it is something new that the tourists can enjoy and thus it is
one of the areas that enjoy the reciprocal rights of the The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St
Andrews (Sackett 2013). The Sunset on the Break ways offers great view and the small hills
further enhances the beauty of the place. There are Big Winch and the way local people live
here is a treat to watch.

The amenities include great quality underground hotels available which offers great
air conditioning services as the temperature is quite high here. Though, we don’t make any of
our guests face any issues due to the hot weather, we are known for our excellence in
delivering every hospitality services available from our side during their stay at the hotels.
Desert Cave Hotel offers underground stay because it is much colder than the outside
temperature and he guests can enjoy something new and different during their stay (Hill
2018). Modern amenities are available here and it is recommended for the people to visit the
tourist spot of Coober Pedy in Australia during the months from September to December.

coach services available from the Adelaide by Greyhound Australia to reach the town of
Coober Pedy. The Ghan train services further has improved the accessibility options by

The Old Timers Opal Mine are open for visitors with guides and there are uncut opals
that are available for the guests. There are artefacts like letters from the Royal and Ancient
Golf Club of St Andrews and a 18 hole golf course in Nullarbor plain, which is located in the
south east region. Not only the tourism services include hotel accommodation underground,
but also there are underground cafes, churches, bookstores and even camping areas, all of
which are present underground. The huge amounts of opals present in this area have brought
people to this stark landscape and people can visit the opal mines quite easily with the guides
(Mok, Sparks and Kadampully 2013). There are multiple options of underground houses
available at reasonable rates for the guests and are made available for guests as well for the
tours such as Faye’s Underground Home, Crocodile Harry’s Underground Nest. There are
other services such as the guests can enjoy some time with the local people and visit the
Umoona Opal mine and museum down the Hutchinson street to experience an Aboriginal
interpretive display and also enjoy the Break ways hills that are eroded deeply, yet filled with
rich colours of red, orange and white (Dutkiewicz, Landgrebe and Rey 2015).
