the employees to work with high efficiency level and with the help of this all goals and
objectives can be achieved. There are two types of motivation and these are intrinsic and
extrinsic motivation. With respect to intrinsic type it is defined as a motivation which is
influenced by an interest that lies within an activity. There are different advantages as well as
disadvantages of motivation. It is long lasting but at the same point of time the efforts which are
done can be slow with respect to behavior and may require special preparation ( Clary, 2021.).In
relation with extrinsic motivation it comes from outside the individual. They are in context with
rewards which are in the form of money, fear of punishment and many more. In relation with
Maslow’s hierarchy theory it is a motivational theory in psychology that includes a five-tier
model of the entire human needs that involve physiological needs, safety, love and
belongingness, esteem and self-actualization needs. It is further been explained as below: -

These are in context with food, water and so on. In terms of motivation, input should be
provided for individual’s salary and incentives.
