Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020 (Congress.gov, 2020). In

Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020 is passed by the
Congress enacted on 6th March, 2020. This legislation provides emergency supplements that
are work of $8.3billion in the financial year 2020-2021. The primary aim of this bill is to
combat the epidemic of coronavirus disease in the United States. The legislation bill got
bipartisan support (Congress.gov, 2020). On 4th March 2020, the bill is passed from the
House 415-2 and it is also passed from Senate 96-1 on 5th March 2020 with an immediate
effort. President Trump and his administrations asked Congress for the bill of $2.5billion to
combat this pandemic. After the request of President Trump, the Senate Appropriations
Committee member – Richard Shelby of Alabama had criticized this bill was noting that it is
the low request bill. After that, the bill was approved for $8.3billion (Hassan, et. al., 2020).
The objective behind enhancing the amount of bill is that there is no availability for
the vaccine yet. Thus, the country has to set new administration which will include the team
of scientists and doctors for finding the vaccine of this disease with immediate efforts. This

also covers the cost of the various necessities needs that should be provided to the citizens

professionals, etc. According to the studies conducted globally in the last 2 months, have
concluded that social distancing is an effective way to stop the spread of this epidemic. In this
case, there will be time in the country when the government has to implement the complete
lockdown. In this case, it becomes important to cover the basic needs of the citizens. Apart
from this, Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020 also covers
the impacted cost that will hindrance the performance of many small-scale business houses in
the country. Adverse effects on the business houses will resultant in an impact on many
