1. What is meant by the term, "B Corp"? Explain.
As per the video conversation, the terms have been explained by the orator. B-corp is
a term that is used for the organisation that are not just only providing their services to the
customers but also they are having the corporate social responsibilities mentioned in the
business reports that they are presenting at the end of the year to have a proper note of all the
resources that they are using for the development of the environment and not just focusing on
monetary gains (Freedman, 2020).
2. What does Halla mean by the term, "hubris syndrome"? Explain.
The orator has a concept developed called hubris syndrome which decides the
leadership mindset of a person. This is the mindset that makes a person develop the mindset
of leadership to be e position of power and not for engaging into developmental work or
make the entire team work to achieve the unified goal for or add positive impact to the
environment. It is just the mindset of the leader which things that the power of leadership is
possessing a power to have upper hand over the other team members.
3. What is wrong with hierarchical leadership? Explain
Hierarchical leadership provides the sense of power to the leader and not the ability to
make the entire team work as a unit that is leading an organisation to reach its goal
(Alrowwad, Obeidat & Aqqad, 2017). Rather, hierarchical leadership provides a person with
the sense that having monetary gains is better than providing the vision to the team members
that working for the organisation does not only mean to have monetary gains but also has
other social responsibility to fulfil.
4. Do you disagree with anything in the video? Why?
I particularly do not disagree with any of the points that have been mentioned in this
particular video. A leader with a different approach is required and there are several aspects

to this as well. It is found that organizations still follow the age old leadership styles that are
plagued with misconceptions nowadays (Bendell, Sutherland & Little, 2017). It is true that
leaders nowadays are focusing more on military games rather than thinking about CSR or any
responsibility about working for the betterment of the organisation as well as the
environment. This is all induced by leadership which is again cannot be provided by a
hierarchical structure but every leader is born within themselves. Therefore in this video there
is no point that could be disagreed with.
5. What in particular do you agree with? Why?
The primary particular thing that I agree with is that an organisation and its corporate
social responsibility is guided by a leader. The idea that the orator has presented in this
speech is about how a leader is not a designated post belonging to a specific gender employee
(Ismail, 2017). The primary point of a specific successful leadership is bring about the
acceptance of other people within the organisation and understanding the concept off not
working dress for money but also for adding positive attitudes towards the environment and
Society.
