Background of the Study/Reason for study:
Corporate governance is the term used to describe the balance among participants in the
corporate structure who have an interest in the way in which the corporation is run, such as
executive staff, shareholders and members of the community (Lund and Pollman, 2021). In order to
conduct this study, researcher will mainly focus on the transparency on the corporate governance
structure of the selected organisation so that company can effectively solve the transparency related
problem and improve the effectiveness of the organisation.
Problem Statement
The primary motive of this study is to identify the impact of lack of transparency on the overall
corporate governance structure and profitability of the chosen organization. It is analysed that lack
of transparency is containing as the main issue which is mainly facing by the organisation so it is
necessary for the company to take care about their corporate governance activities and implement
the effective corporate governance structure so that company can effectively solve the problem of
the company.

Significance of the Research
The importance of this study is more because it can helpful to identify the effect of the transparency
on the business operations so that company can adopt the effective corporate governance structure to
improve the productivity of the organisation. The major goal of this research is to determine the
influence of lack of transparency upon that chosen organisation‘s corporate governance structure and
profitability. It has been determined that level of disclosure is the primary issue that the organisation
faces. As a result, the firm must pay close attention to its corporate governance processes and
establish an important corporate governance framework in order to successfully resolve the
company's problems.

Tesco can also take use of sharing information strategy to improve transparency companies also
required to focus upon embedding the culture which promote the importance of strong corporate
governance.Company can also overcome lack of transparency issue with the help of treating
employees in fair manner etc. These strategies help company to overcome the issue of lack of
