1REFLECTIVE ESSAY
Introduction
As per the idea I have learnt or acquired through the understanding gained to find out
the reason behind the successful running of a business, I must also add that a successful
business is also governed by the way in which organisation handles the corporate social
responsibilities. According to my understanding through this particular study about the AGL
energy company, which is mentioned as an Australian listed public company, the following
report would be based on the concept of corporate social responsibility of an organisation.
Thus, the following reflective idea behind the development of reflective essay is governed by
the brief description of the situation that has been there in the discussion, the experience with
theory discussed, the inside to the engagement of contribution to the system and inside in the
light of the experience learnt for doing something different according to the project.
Brief Description of the situation in discussion
the discussion that has been developed in this session has been about the corporate
social responsibility that have been undertaken by AGL energy organisation, an Australian
listed public company, for adjusting to an approach which would contribute in the
development of organisation in sustainable way by economic and environmental benefits for
all the stakeholders within the organisation. Stakeholder should improve the employees, the
customers, the investors and others.
I have understood learning about corporate social responsibility, that this particular
approach helps in gathering percentage of gain or benefits to an organisation through the
welfare Society because of the responsibilities that the organisation takes for them. AGL
energy is also associated with many activities other than its primary business concern about
having a setup in the retail Industry delivering customers with electricity and gas for

residential and commercial uses. Other than that other welfare activities that the organisation
regularly goes through, there are various other ways as well in which I have found the
organisation has regularly investing. This investment is not just monetary, but also comprises
of various responsibilities that the organisation is willing to take in that might not be helping
the surroundings and letting the environment be harmed by the delivery of work they serve to
the customers. I have also researched about the organisation to find out that why other
companies are trying to get into green computing, AGL Australia has been marked as a black
company. The coal mine that the organisation has recently brought in has increased the
amount of coal consumption, which companies are right now trying to reduce. However, not
just AGL did not understand its corporate social responsibility, the organisation was also
regarded as top 10 polluters in Australia.
Experience to the theory discussed in this session
After the reading that I have gone through about the corporate social responsibility, I
found that given the latest environmental and surrounding structure, most companies are
trying to get green by making sure that the service on the business process of the organisation
do not harm the environment and the lives of the people irrespective of whether or not the
company services in. I believe that every organisation should think about the kind of service
they provide to the customers to find out if they do any benefit to the particular person or
have found out any kind of way by which the services of the products the organisation
provides to its customer not mean harm of the people.
This idea is described in details for AGL and why it makes the organisation be
regarded as one of the highest pollutants for polluted cities in Australia. it is the responsibility
of the organisation to find out what are they doing wrong with the explanation of CSR
Framework within the organisation. it is also understandable that there might be some

problems regarding the establishment of improper CSR Framework in the organisation and
this is why is it important for the organisation to have won.
Insight into the engagement or contribution to the system
Corporate social responsibility can be defined according to my terms, as the strategies
developed by the organisation to address all the requirements of the stakeholders associated
with the organisation. For this the entire what force is to be implementing their own thoughts
into the process of engaging and contributing to maintenance of the corporate social
responsibilities. In the case of AGL as well, before finding the coal mine, all the people
associated with the project needed to make sure that finding and burning of the construction
would have impact on the society. A proper analysis would have been much easier to
establish made by the various staff members and team members within the organisation to
analyse and engage into the implementation and finding process. I believe that the entire
organisation need to come together for having a CSR documentation, to find out various
information about the demands of stakeholders as well as how much impact would the mine
have on the inhabitants in Australia.
Insight, in light of the experience and learning for doing something different
according to the project
I would have suggested that the organisation could easily think about the possible
ways of finding the mine and at the same time, I also needed to understand what was the
impact of the new mind over the stakeholders associated with the organisation and if they
were able to be fulfilling the requirements of the stakeholders of the organisation. I also
believe that there should be a proper investigation about the requirement of the stakeholders
as well as the requirement of the environment that need to be considered for putting up with

the highest carbon use and deduction of the current utilisation and contribution providing to
the pollution in a business environment.
Conclusion
Therefore, in conclusion can be said that there are some features in the corporate
social responsibility that organisations can easily adapt to and contribute to the same to have
an reputation in the market about being generous and having all the responsibilities
maintained for the benefit of the stakeholders. I have found that, according to all my
assumption that has been made for the organisation, a person works in, deserve and would
demand a better working environment and also ensure that the least amount of contributing to
the pollution factor is culminated.
