INTRODUCTION
Text analysing is phenomenon of parsing text in own words and which involves extract
of information and data from textbook. CSR is the responsibility of a company, to be
accountable to its stakeholders and public. It is mandatory for corporation to involve in corporate
social activities for the social benefit (Aguinis and Glavas, 2013). The main aim of this report is
analyse the CSR practices of banks. This report covers the following topics such as: Corporate
Social Responsibility Practices of Commercial Banks in Bangladesh: A Case Study on Southeast
Bank Ltd. 2013. Mixed methods research is more basically in that it would include the both
qualitative and quantitative data as well as in the paradigms in a research analysis or any kind of
set of associated studies.

CSR is a worldwide issue and all entities wants to settle this in their own favourable manner.
There are various driving forces in support of progressing trend regarding CSR initiatives such as
growth in pressure of market over social and ethical issues, regularity pressure, increment in
strength of communication etc. it is correct that mainly commercial banks are paying extra for
their CSR operations but not so more as it affects earning increase.

Qualitative research method is that which emphasis on obtaining data through open ended
and conversational communication. It provides help to develops the insight about the research
topic which is helpful to achieve the objectives of project research. Familiar CSR activities in
Bangladesh by several entities are focused basically over mainly poverty alleviation, healthcare,
education, charity activates, cultural enrichment, youth development, women empowerment,

growing finance sector of any region can easily contribute directly to a healthier economies.
Besides mentioning, that CSR recording of monetary sector in Bangladesh is growing and
society is worried about the issue and considerably preserved in the annual report.

For analysing the qualitative methodology, the CSR activities of the Southeast bank as
well as the other commercial banks are mainly comprises with the following kinds of activities
and CSR also benefited in these contexts as on the basis of tax savings as government of
Bangladesh and tax authorities renders 10% tax rebates on such CSR activities. Some CSR

5. How mixed methods can be use in research project
This research project has been prepared with the help of quantitative and qualitative
research methods. In quantitative research method numeric figures and data has been used which
provide the information about the contribution done by Southeast Bank in context to activities
related to corporate social responsibility. With the help of this method contribution of bank can
be analyse in percentage and figures. Poverty has been reduced in Bangladesh from the year
2010 to 2018, in the 2010 poverty was 18.5 % which has minimized by 9 % at the end of year
2018. Southeast bank expands their CSR operations which are expanding year after year. In 2010

both methods have been used and it provides help to develop the insights about the outcomes of
project report. Southeast Bank can use these methods to analyse that how much contribution it
should be given in order to fulfil CSR activities for the growth and development of society.

It is critical to understand the human phenomena and it is difficult to analyse the
observations as the non-quantitative benefits of CSR to society can't be analyse by this
approach. So that is why this approach is revealed partially.
Some standardized Scales may be interpreted differently by different source of
quantitative information. Sometimes it becomes critical to judge the exact figure in
quantitative form.
5. How mixed methods can be use in research project
This research project has been prepared with the help of quantitative and qualitative
research methods. In quantitative research method numeric figures and data has been used which
provide the information about the contribution done by Southeast Bank in context to activities
related to corporate social responsibility. With the help of this method contribution of bank can
be analyse in percentage and figures. Poverty has been reduced in Bangladesh from the year
2010 to 2018, in the 2010 poverty was 18.5 % which has minimized by 9 % at the end of year
2018. Southeast bank expands their CSR operations which are expanding year after year. In 2010

CONCLUSION
As from the above report, it has been concluded that it is essential for an organisation to
involve in CSR activities so that society can benefited. It is helpful to build the good image and
reputation of corporation in the market. Quantitative and qualitative methods provide helps to get
better output of the research. Mixed method methodology can be used to know the interrelations
between two methods which help to conduct research. It is important to know the limitations so
that research project objectives can be accomplish effectively.
