Introduction
Corporate social responsibility is an approach which helps to avail the maintainable development
in different phases for an organization. The particular approach helps to determine some
strategies to attain economic, social, financial and environmental benefits. The concept of social
responsibilities includes different aspects and also depends on the organizational current
requirements. The MnM organizations also adapting the relevant approaches of specific concept
to make the determination about organizational growth and success. As the concept helps to gain
success but at the same time, this also attain some issues and challenges. The report includes
information about the concept of CSR and will also discuss the major issues and challenges
which can be raised while obtaining the concept.

The social responsibilities can be referred to like the concept which helps to attain the positive
response and impacts of society. But when it comes to the interrelation with corporate sector then
it refers to maintain the appropriate business model which helps to achieve positive publicity,
determines some approaches to attract people, it also helps to retain and attract the appropriate
talent towards the organization and so on (LópezLópez, et. al., 2017). But everything attains
different aspects. As things have their own pros and cons, the same concept deals with the
concept of CSR as well. The concept includes some issues which need to be determined and
resolved timely to implement the concept in a proper manner.
3.1 Issues of corporate social responsibility
Corporate social responsibilities determine to achieve the growth and development of the
organization in the context of fulfilling the requirements of stakeholders but there are some
specific issues which needs to be determined while availing the concept. As these issues can
affect the concept in a negative manner.
Corruption and Bribery
The corruption and bribery is an issue of CSR which relates to business ethics. The business
ethics are the approaches or strategies which determines to follow the working culture in a
significant manner. Corruption refers to the misuse or dishonest towards the power and
authorities. In very simple worlds CRS provides some specific advantages and command to the
employees so that they can easily roll over the organizational growth (Malgwi, 2016). But when
the employees start doing the misuse the authorities that it can be stated as the betrayal or
corruption.
Bribery refers to proposing, providing, petitioning, or receiving any value or money in the
context of doing any action which influences the legal and non-legal working context. In very
simple words the bribery refers to giving or receiving some values in the context of doing
something. The bribery is not legal and it also affects the loyalty and honesty of people in
regards to the approaches to achieve morality.
The corruption and bribery affect the organization in some different manner as it affects
organizational growth and loyalty as well. Such issues need to be determined as the

determination of the issues is foremost necessary to overcome such challenges (Wai, et. al.,
2018). The issues which occur from such concept are:
Disregard for officials: As discussed above the corruption and bribery is not legal and it
is not right to be done. If some of the authority will do such things in the corporate sector
then it will affect the other workforce as well. The staff will start avoiding the officials as
they internally know that if the higher authority can do some misconception then they
also can do disobeys (Benlemlih, et. al., 2018). This conflict between employee and
employer impacts the working culture in a negative manner.
Lack of development: Each organization needs to have some specific stakeholders to
attain the requirements and growth of the organization. But if an organization will
suffering from the critical issue like corruption then it will become hard to make the
stakeholders attract towards the organization. As the stakeholders are the people who
invest their money and time to organizational growth (Utgård, 2018). So they must need
to have some strong key point to be with the organization.
Discrimination
Discrimination refers to the unfair treatment between the employees at the workplace on the
basis of age, caste, religion and so on. It is the responsibility of a company to be fair with all the
employees and provide equal opportunity to all the employees. CSR makes accountable a
company towards society and stakeholders. Employees are the stakeholders of the company.
Discrimination should not be allowed at the workplace as it works as a hindrance in the overall
growth of the organisation. Due to discriminatory practices at the workplace, a company fails to
discharge its corporate social responsibility.
It is a major issue in the workplace. In the company, multiple discriminatory practices in the
hiring of the employees are followed. It is not an ethical practice and it is against the law. Due to
discrimination employees has to face harassment and other difficulties at the workplace. A
company should provide a safe workplace to the employees so that the employees can perform
their jobs with perfection. Discrimination is against human rights (Marcum & Perry, 2015).
Using ethical business practices comes under the corporate social responsibility of the company.
Providing fair employment practices is the primary focus of business ethics. There are multiple

types of discrimination such as discrimination based in the age, race, and color and so on. When
the employees are treated prejudicially then it leads to the brand image of the company in
danger. CSR aims at providing equal treatment and opportunities to all the employees working in
the organisation. When the employees are not promoted fairly then it also falls under
discrimination.
Impacts of discriminatory practices in the organisation
If a company follows discriminatory practices then it can cause serious damage to the reputation
of the company. The company would not be able to survive in the long run. It leads to the brand
image of the company in the danger. To compete in the long run a company should not follow
the discriminatory practice in the hiring and promotion of the employees.
Discriminatory practices at the workplace lead to a negative environment in the organisation. It
harms the wring relations between the employees. It acts as a bottleneck in the smooth
communication and effective management of the employees. The negative environment in the
workplace restraint the employees to work properly and affects the effective teamwork.
It decreases the productivity of the employees. If employees feel discriminated at the workplace
then they stop giving innovative ideas for the growth of the organisation and stop connecting
with the people (Marchiondo, et. al., 2016). Due to discriminatory practice, the employees often
switch their jobs and the market reputation of the company decreases as well. If an employee is
discriminated at the workplace then that employee has the right to take legal action against the
company.
It leads to lower employees moral and the employees stop performing well. The employee
turnover will increase and it will become difficult for the employees to retain the employees and
attract new employees. To boost the employee morale the company should treat all the
employees equally.
