Cosmos Online Newspaper. We have four members to conduct the discussion.
Member 1: We will be discussion about the Cosmos Newspaper. It is a Sydney based
newspaper agency. The organization is running well and is expanding. The company is in the
way of upgrading the information security policy, which can be considered as a wise decision as,
this news organization is dealing with the large amount of the information (Lin et al. 2016).
Apart from that, the employees in the company are increasing and managing of the human
resource needs the effective implementation of the advanced technology. Currently , the
company has both the current assets and the fixed assets. The current assets of the company
includes the revenues they are getting form the advertisements. Cosmos accepts nay types of
advertisements. The only concern which is made by the company is that those advertisements are
following the guidelines and the media codes and regulations of Australia. Another current asset
of the company is the large network of the organization which is spread almost all over the
world. The consumers of the inline newspaper can get the news feed and can watch news videos
from any part of the world. In case of the fixed assets, the most significant one for the company
is the consumer base. Almost 100,000 people access the news from the Cosmos and it is
expected that the number will increase to the 500,000 within 3 years. Another significant fixed
resource for the company is human resources. Apart from the CEO, Financial managers, HR
managers and the Publishing managers there are 20 supporting staffs. The other important assets
for the company is the information. This news paper organization has to handle a large amount

Gowan 2017). This is a news organizations, so it is normal for the organization not to share the
collected news by the staffs of the organizations to the other news agencies. The organization

done by the internal staffs of the organization or the freelancers themselves. This kind of
sabotage is done for the extra money. To reduce this tendency of the employees and the
freelancers the Cosmos is becoming concerned about the wellbeing of the permanent staffs. This
will lead to the better human resource management. The better human resource management will
help the employees to be loyal to the terms and conditions of the company. Moreover, paying a
handsome amount to the freelancers will help the company y to get more exclusive news.
