Introduction
In this assessment, a cottage renovation activities are done for completing this project. This
cottage is located at the beachside location for giving benefits of stay to the tourists who will
come here for vacation and spending time. This project is decided at a 20000$ budget which is
obtained by the bank as a loan. The owner wants to rent this property in this vacation so there is

1.1 Work-Break Down Structure
Work-Breakdown structure is a diagram or chart which depicts all the activities of the project in
the proper hierarchy and in the proper schedule. This chart defines the activities of the project
which is for the team members and workers who are working on this project so they can manage

1.2 RACI Chart
RACI chart defines the responsibilities of the stakeholders for the activities. RACI is the
acronym of Responsible, Accountable, Consult and Inform. And all the labels define the roles of
stakeholder during the activity so any team member can connect with the responsible stakeholder
and That stakeholder has to manage the working according to the RACI chart. This chart is used
in every project at the starting of the project for giving a clear definition of stakeholders
(Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p. 215).
1.3 Schedule-1 Gantt chart
This is a schedule chart which defines the activities of the project which is going to happen in the
whole project. Here project is for the renovation of the cottage so all the activities are scheduled
according to the project work and all these schedule and activities are decided according to the
manager and higher authorities with the proper discussion. This project will be completed in 10
business days with 5 days of working in a week (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p.
194).

1.4 Schedule-2 Activity on Node Diagram
This diagram is a presentation of all the Gantt chart activities as node connection diagram. All
the activities are connected according to their precedence activities and occurrence time in the
project life cycle. One activity will be started only after the completion of the last activity
occurred in the project. The connection is represented through the arrow between the activities
(Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p. 176).
1.5 Resource overloading
Resource overloading activity happened because of the resource are over-allocated for any
activity in the project. Resources can have allocated by various techniques and according to the
priority of the activity. If a common resource is allocated twice or more than its working, then
the resource is called overloading. The resource overloading can be removed by leveling the
activities (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p. 220).
1.6 Budgeting
Budgeting is an important part of project completion and execution. For determining the budget
of the project the project manager needs to identify all the resources and equipment so that the
budget can be aggregated according to the activities. This project is allocated with 20000$ which
is taken as a loan from the bank by the owner (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p.
244).
1.7 Progress Reporting (Timelines)
Progress reporting should be done every week of the project execution so everyone can get
updated about the project completion and the weekly updation of the project activities. In a
single report, there are three criteria for measurements like, past present and future
(Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p. 394).
1.8 Earned Value Management (Progress Reporting)
This is a method which is basically used for cost analysis on the basis of the value which is
earned and invested in the project activities. These activities are planned on budget and this

analysis will help in making decisions of the project and making comparisons for benefits in
terms of money (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p. 403).
1.9 Risk Management
Risks are the part of the project so the project can be error free. In the project life cycle, the risks
can occur at any part of the project and risks should be analyzed after every step so the project
can be completed without bugs (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p. 275). The risks
can occur at every step or for any stakeholder which can be minimized or removed with the help
of risk management.
1.10 Change Management
Changes should be acceptable for any project or for any step. Changes can be identified by the
authorities or stakeholders who are affected by this project. Change request should be accepted
by the authorities by analyzing its benefits and disadvantages (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, &
Wells, 2018, p. 430).
1.11 Stakeholders Identification
Stakeholders are the parts of the project who will get affected by the project and its activities.
Stakeholders can be individual or group of members who can relate to this project and they can
take any action about the project and its activities (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p.
360).
1.12 Project Close
For this part of the project, the project has to be closed with all the activities done and fulfilling
the requirements of customers. In this step the activities are done with proper scheduling and
budget will be updated of the project (Kloppenborg, Anantatmula, & Wells, 2018, p. 430). All
the required documentation will be completed for the project so the findings can be analyzed.
