to run like companies as it is important for both to abide same legislations, regulations and
amendments in same manner. Addition to this, each should strive to share together with
implement best practices as well as values at great possible manner.

overcome from it. However, countries have wide solutions to manage situations. In context to

Country like UK has responsibilities towards its citizens and providing them defense. Company

runs for making profits but it’s the country that runs for providing all its population through
common goods that are roads, police protection and many more. In reality, when UK makes
profits then they hoards tax dollars for no effective reason (Padachi, Ramsurrun and Ramen,
2017). But when Tesco makes profit, it smartly keeps some amount in cash as well as makes
short term investments. However, if countries runs their practices in same manner as companies
do then there will be as scenario when nothing best is done towards society.
Companies have huge luxuries for dumping business line while things are not going same
to make profits and streamlining offerings for serving only particular targeted audiences.
Companies do not have the option as they have to serve each and every sector without dumping
any of programs or policies. By imagining the situation in which Tesco or other company ran
UK then Fire along with Police departments will be only answered to homes of thirty something
hipsters and usage of online applications will be used to fill taxes at high rates. This will create
horrible situations. Moreover, when things are not in favour to set aspects, then companies sell

people and to the people”. If countries run like companies then they have to work diametrically
opposed to the principles as companies can ignore requirements, choices and preferences of its

of UK to serve combined needs of all citizens in equitable and fair modes. It is further perceived

However, UK lacks the metric as it works for representing people and deliver social services

Countries represent diverse population, sub- cultures, distinct skill set, income
opportunities, strengths and weakness. For assuming cookie cutter population along with

companies. Tesco only works for people that have demands for retail products and serve to the
area which have huge product demand. If UK runs like the company then it will only be able to
meet needs or solve issues of limited populations and other sections of society will remain
unaware for its special practices and offerings. This will only reduce interest of people from

Furthermore, a country has limited luxury addition to empire building and restricts forces to
remain for longer duration. They can take solutions and management techniques form companies
but should never work like what enterprise do to make sustainable position and revenue
generation (Dura and Driga, 2017). So, it is concludes that no, countries should never be run like
company in fact countries should become more effective and efficient to provide facilities to
mass citizens at low costs.

bad for a country. There are various arguments made that says that running like companies will
make a country more effective and productive, however, considering some arguments it is states
