Reflective report
Introduction
The aim of undertaking the assignment of international business management is to gain
understanding about the various factors that can determine the effectiveness of the business
organizations. It was known to me that there are various differences between operating in the
domestic circuit and international circuit. Thus, I initiated this assignment to identify those
differences. With the help of this assignment, I also came to know about the various tools being
used in determining the external and internal environment of the business organizations.
Evaluation
There are some challenges being faced by me in doing this assignment along with
identifying some shortcomings of mine. One of the key challenges that I have faced in doing this
assignment is garnering of information regarding OnePlus. This is due to the reason that, it is a
new entrant in the market and there are less data being available regarding them. I have chosen
OnePlus due to the reason that, OnePlus is one of those Chinese companies, which are having
huge potential in the market and are in the process of enhancing their international presence.
Another challenge that I have faced is the determination of the authenticity of the articles and
literature being used by me in the report. This is due to the reason that, I cannot able to measure
the authenticity of the references prior to their use.
Another challenge is the use of the tools and concepts in determining the environment of
the organization. I was not aware about how to effectively implement the tools regarding to the
business operation of OnePlus. However, I have used PEST and SWOT analysis in determining
the environment of OnePlus. There are some limitations being identified by me after completing

my assignment. Identification of these limitations is important due to the reason that, it will help
me to improve in the future assignments. One of the key shortcomings of mine is generalization
of the theories in the assignments. It is due to the reason that, I was not accustomed to the
extensive use of theories and thus, the tools being used in this assignment are being used in
generalized manner. There are various other tools and concepts such as Porter five forces, which
can also be used in the assignment. However, I opted for basic tools such as SWOT and PEST
analysis.
Conclusion
Thus, from the above identified challenges and limitations, it can be concluded that these
will help me in overcoming these factors and improve my work in future assignments.
Undertaking this assignment helped me to gain knowledge about the factors that determine the
effectiveness of the business firms in the global scenario. Moreover, I came to know about the
challenges that may have to face by them in operating in the global scenario. Thus, in the future
assignments I will be able to recommend more effectively according to the identified issues. In
addition, I will be able to use other tools effectively and specifically in the future assignments. I
will also be able to work more effectively as a group due to the reason that, knowledge regarding
the team work is being gained by me.
