INTRODUCTION
Statistics can be defined, as the scientific method that is employed for collecting, analysing and
presenting data. It concerns with the quantitative data, Sometimes, qualitative data also can be
converted into the quantitative data by providing a numerical description to the corresponding
qualitative data (Asiedu and et.al, 2021). This report is to provide the critical analysis of the
impact of Pandemic situation outbreak on the social, economic and health care. Further this
report includes the preventative rules taken by the UK government to reduce the effect of the
COVID-19.
TASK 1
The impact of the COVID-19 in the UK
The infectious of pandemic was introduced in China since in the month of December
2020 and after that it was spread all over the world. The pandemic has enhanced people troubled,
undermined the economy and changed the lives of people around the whole world upside
decreased, and affected the social, healthcare and economy. In the month of January 2020, the
wealth organisation, due to increasing fears about the quickly spread the pandemic. The first
stage of virus from the 3rd month 2020 to 5th month of 2020, limited investigating was available.
Because in the hospital the number of cases underestimated in compare to actual data. There was
no information about the death of the people and hospital admitted. These situation has destroyed
the life of people life and shows an unprecedented challenge for human health, food activity and
the global of work. Due to COVID -19 the social and economic disruption was destructive
(Bhardwaj, 2021).
Due to pandemic situation the total 10198 human was death that was more than in
according to the past data. When COVID- 19 was spread all over the world quickly, then UK
government was imposed the lockdown in the entire country. Due to lockdown, the effect of the
virus was decreased and death cases also reduced. The impact of pandemic has induced the UK
to desperately roll out many beneficial net-based enhancements, leaving experts with fewer and
fewer delegates from qualifying.
From the above data shows the number of death cases has increased day by day in the year of
2020. In the month of march, the total no of death was lower as compare to the next month. At
the end of march, the entire world has faced the lockdown situation and all the activities were

stopped down in the world wide web. Due to lockdown the death cases were reduced and the
government remove the restriction at the end of May. The above chart showed the number of
cases have also increased in November 2020 but at that time Government had started the
vaccination program rather than imposed the lockdown. At the end of the year 2021, most of the
people in UK has vaccinated. After successful completion of vaccination process, UK economy
has started recovery and death cases were also reduced (Faenza, Canali and Carbonaro, 2021).

Impact of COVID 19 on Health Care Sector
During COVID- 19, one of the most impacted sector is the health care sector. It has
disrupted the lives and health of the people in many ways like mental health diseases, infections,
stress related to the side effects of the diseases, financial crisis which people have to be faced.
And most important factor is the death of the near and dear ones. The continues psychological
burden has increased the high rates of burnouts and suicidal cases. Many researchers have also
found that there was so hardships in the maternity and child care facilities leads to the thousands
of infant’s deaths, especially in the lower income countries. Some researchers have researched
that this situation is mainly due to the curfews, non-availability of the transports, strict
lockdowns and unavailability of the medical services due to suspension and cancellation of the
services even after the appointments. When unable to coping with the pandemic challenges, there
is an adverse impact on the health outcomes such as failure of lungs, breathlessness, etc and cost
of the healthcare workers also. the healthcare workers experiencing major traumatic issues,
emotional breakdown, lower productivity and increase in the labour turnover rates.

It evaluates the macroeconomic impacts of pandemic and the lockdown on the economy
of UK. In the month of April 2020, the Gross domestic product was reduced 19%, the biggest
reduce in GDP to the UK on record. The investment and consumption was also fall down that
resulting in the vastly reduce in GDP. Due to lower GDP throughout the COVID-19 in which the
unemployment rate remained low. The unemployment rate increased only to 5 percent in the last
quarter (Ganotakis, D'Angelo and Konara, 2021). The effective Pandemic Job Scheme and
Employment Income Scheme have maintained the low unemployment. From the starting of
COVID-19 to November 2020, the retention scheme has paid wages of 12.2 million employees.
In August 2020, inflation reduced along with Gross domestic product to 0.5%. The government

of UK implemented various monetary, fiscal and monetary and social policies which all effected
the economy during the COVID-19. The monetary policy of UK was very efficiently at
protecting enterprises and businesses and maintain the unemployment rate low (Hamaluba,
2022).
The impact of COVID-19 on the social life of UK
Public improvement within the United Kingdom has been hit difficult because of the
pandemic situation. Possibilities for social distancing, sluggish lockdowns, and outstanding
variables in sickness transmission also can have an impact on gatherings and social relation
among humans (Huang, Jiang and Jong, 2021).
