The introduction: General information about the country
According to official reports, it is concluded that in the three months to February, before the
coronavirus outbreak worsened and plunged the nation into what is expected to be a historic
recession, Taiwan's economy was almost static (Li, 2020). In the December-February period, the
Office of National Statistics said that gross domestic product grew by 0.1 percent, weaker than a
median growth estimate of 0.2 percent in a Reuters poll of economists. Taiwan has only 609
covid cases and only 35 are dead. Taiwan has been cast along with other East Asian and
Oceanian states as one of the world’s COVID-19 success storeys. But as countries such as New
Zealand and Vietnam have seen domestic outbreaks during the summer, Taiwan’s last five
months and counting continue to be characterised by one figure: Zero, the number of local
transmissions registered since April 12. Taiwan had reported a total of 388 cases on that day.
Taiwan had registered a total of 498 as of Friday. Each positive case of COVID-19 reported
since April 12 has either been imported from a person travelling from abroad who tested positive
during a mandated 14-day quarantine or from a cluster onboard a navy ship returning to Palau
from a goodwill cruise.
Description of the experience of COVID -19 within the selected country:
Economically; politically; culturally, as well as within its Healthcare
system.
COVID 19 is a pandemic which has occurred and spread across worldwide. It has affected lot of
businesses worldwide. This has been seen that pandemic of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is a
huge shock to the NHI and social care systems. This is concluded from the statistics that there is
large mortality increase because of this (Mokhov, and et.al, 2020). The Health Foundation has
started to issue a series of maps and commentaries in recent weeks, explaining the various
aspects of the influence of COVID-19 as they unfold. How COVID-19 has changed NHI care
and facilities for people with other health needs is one of the main concerns we have been
investigating. Some major patterns are starting to appear.
Political impact - The Coronavirus pandemic has altered our daily life society in ways that may
have appeared inconceivable to us only a few weeks ago. There is huge influence of the COVID-
19 epidemic on British politics and the steps the country has undertaken in order to safeguard
public health, especially their consequences for the civil rights and the legal and security future

of the TAIWAN. Today the Taiwan is bidding globally against other countries and is seeking to
turn to infrastructure development. On testing, one NHI official is even more scathing, claiming
that there were no things for the federal agencies. There is need to manage the planning and
regulation for controlling daily activities.
Economic impact – Company activity reports indicate that the TAIWAN rebound from the first
Covid lockdown stalled out this month and threatened to slip into a double-dip recession in the
Eurozone. The IHS Markit/Cips Flash TAIWAN Fusion PMI data index dropped from 56.5 at
the end of October to perking for October as new constraints to counter the fourth wave drag-
down operation. Social expansion signifies a number over 50. In the mediterranean, metabolic
rate have also dropped (Neuberger, 2020). US market activity reached a 20-month peak, but in
the midst of concerns over Covid-19 and well before the federal election, the rate of growth and
capital spending eased marginally. This recorded that 94 percent of the 5,733 companies that
responded to Wave 10 of the Market Effect of the COVID-19 Survey (BICS) in the last two
weeks of July (out of a sample size of 24,464) reported currently trading as their actual trading
position, while 6 percent reported that they had temporarily closed or suspended trading. In our
Monthly Market Survey (MBS), BICS covers all industries and also includes retail and building
companies, as well as manufacturers and services (Romanos, and et.al, 2019). BICS is voluntary
and currently unweighted, so that it can only represent the features of those who have responded.
Cultural impact - Covid 19 has major impact on those family, whose family member are
working in health sector. As they not meet with their family because of Covid 19. There are
various views on the TAIWAN healthcare sector, we can picture scarier things. Those who still
have an underlying illness and work regularly on strategies to reduce the likelihood of Covid.
The right approach to avert anything is always to first deter your epidemic from occurring, it is
an epidemic that is somewhere in the common morbidity region as flu if you look at the data, but
the dilemma is that there is no antidote and nobody has immune system.
Nurse in intensive care, central Taiwan. There was a feeling of we're all in this the first time
around, let's figure it out, but there's a sense of real anger now. Maintaining the same level of
work and enthusiasm as before is very difficult, and NHI workers around the capital are
gradually experiencing signs of PTSD.

Steps taken by Taiwan to control covid cases
Border control - Taiwan closed down in March to all non-residents and has since maintained
tight control over its borders. The continued success of Taiwan is attributed to tight border
control enforcement. To ensure their comply with a 14-day quarantine, this entails symptom-
based monitoring before travellers board flights and wireless fence monitoring via cellular
signals.
Masks, delivery - A crucial role in the growth of Taiwan was the decision to store and provide
central distribution of face masks. Early in the pandemic, the government stockpiled and
restricted shipments of all locally manufactured face masks. Companies boosted demand from 2
million to 20 million units a day within four months, allowing the island to routinely ration
masks for people.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it is concluded that pandemic has created huge impact on business of
healthcare. This has created problems for the country to manage the operations of business. It is
concluded that there is need to manage and control various problems for conducting the business
activities properly. Several safety measures are taken for managing the activities properly. There
is also effective way to develop ways in order to enhance the safety and health measures for
patients. Taiwan’s plan to maintain zero cases by conducting survey as it helped them in
identifying of numbers of Covid patients.
