and upper throat. It is also observed that most of them are not that dangerous as they are present
with tiny grounds and can be examined symptomatically. On the other side, this disease kills
several human lives across the world due to the dreadful manifestation causing respiratory
failure. From a research, it is found that over 5.3 million deaths were happened due to the cause
of this virus. Deficiency of life-saving drugs, medicines and crises treatments has promoted the

pandemic is leading to vital alterations in terms of economic behaviour of population which will
ineluctably impact the tourism and travelling sector in United Kingdom. It has influenced both
kinds of travelling, whether it is domestic or international. As UK governments has introduced
several immediate control measures such as social distancing, avoiding physical interaction,
essential limitation on travelling, sanitisation and many more have ruined the interest of people
in travelling (Kabir and et.al., 2020). Hence, the pandemic of Covid-19 has resulted the close
affects throughout the whole orbit of economic or social activities. It can be said that before this
disease came into place, the travelling and tourism sector had became top of the sectors in the
world economies, accounting for significant percentage of world GDP while giving several job
opportunities throughout the world.
The Covid-19 pandemic resulted significant fall and drop off in the demands of travellers
and tourists as there are lots of travelling restrictions. Tourism sector has significantly affected
by the spread of disease as many nations have introduced their travel limitations in an
undertaking to unified its spread. As the virus has rise in a hammy loss of life and develops an
unexampled challenge to the health of people, food systems, world of work and tourism sectors.
Millions of business entities face an existential threat. In UK, it is found that pandemic has
delivered a huge impact on the travelling industry due to which various organisation had to shut
down their doors as they were not able to generate enough profits. Lockdown and pandemic
resulted increase in unemployment in the whole world. British Airways, EasyJet, TUI Airways
and many more faced loss of qualified employees and loss in profit margins as well.
Many travellers refused to travelling as they got a fear that if they travel around the world
they might get infected. There are also many other challenges that caused as the lockdown and
pandemic has put an enlistment to the people lives around the globe (Alonzi, La Torre and
Silverstein, 2020). As people are not able to roam and move around the world, many travelling
services has been stopped. Thus, this has caused a huge implications in the functioning and

influenced their buying pattern and behaviour as well. Also, income level is also decreased due
to the results of Covid-19 pandemic (Nižetić, 2020). Several citizen have migrated towards their
host countries and are not able to return back to their home places, also not getting their
reasonable amount of salary due to the losses occurred in the travel companies.
In current times, due to the impact of Covid-19, people are now becoming more and more
health and safety conscious. Many organisations also take this concern seriously and take
necessary steps towards their employees and customers. The company expenses also increased as
they take safety and hygiene measures such as regular sanitization in office premises and many
more. For customers, they try to offer quality and safe services while they travelling around the
world. It helps to influence customers towards travelling. Organisations such as EasyJet now pay
attention to make their office clean and sanitised so that clients as well as employees will be
impressed by their offered services and facilities (Anderton and et.al., 2021). Although, it is a big
challenge for the tourism industry as they already went through such a hammy loss and now they
try to recover such things back.
The another challenge that is found is that travel and tourist organisations also facing
issue of low occupancy. As there was a global pandemic and lockdown, the tourism sector has
demonstrated a low trend with low occupancy of about 0 to 20% and it is the chief account of
loss for the sector. Additionally, the buying and spending pattern of clients and travellers has
faded and now they have no such desires to roam around the world. They like to stay at home
only because of the one cause of Covid-19.
As people are becoming more health and safety conscious, it has now become a new
trend in the world. It is essential to take necessary steps to take care of customer's and
employees' health and safety. While roaming or travelling, travellers like to prefer to eat or drink
things which are sealed and packed. Also, they take home made stuffs with themselves. They
take their own blankets in order to avoid the infection. Therefore, it is important for the travel
companies to take care of such things while their customers use their services.
In UK, there are many safety guidelines, norms and instructions have been announced by
the government so as to be followed by the tourist companies. In order to avoid physical touch
and contacts, companies can exploit many digital technologies such as digital check-in and
check-out points, e-tickets, online modes of payments, thermometer to examines the travellers

technologies so they can be able to give better services to their clients (Wilson and et.al., 2021).
Moreover, they require to create an effective marketing plans and tactics to attract and retain
customers around the world. Finances are also need to execute plans so the companies should be
prepare themselves for such stuffs. Offers and discounts can be indulged to the customers so that
they can travel with reliable tourism facilities and services. All such investments and expenses
definitely indulge a good return on it.

industry. It has delivered a negative impact on the travelling. In this assessment, there are many
challenges are found which are faced by travel companies. By making effective plans and tactics,
