AI Summary
This research proposal aims to analyze the impact of mental health on adults living in England during the COVID-19 lockdown, addressing a critical gap in understanding and intervention strategies. The proposal includes a background section detailing the socio-economic and healthcare impacts of COVID-19 in the UK, highlighting the increased prevalence of mental health issues such as anxiety, stress, and feelings of insecurity. The research objectives include understanding the concept of mental health during the lockdown, evaluating its impact, and examining interventions to minimize negative influences. The research questions focus on defining the concept, assessing the impact, and identifying effective interventions. The PICO framework is used to define the problem, interventions, comparisons, and outcomes. The study design employs secondary research methods, including a quasi-systematic literature review, and considers ontological and epistemological perspectives. The research approach is deductive, utilizing pre-existing theories to formulate hypotheses. Research strategies include experimental analysis and case studies to provide relevant data. This report, available on Desklib, offers insights into managing mental health during crises, with Desklib providing additional resources like past papers and solved assignments.

“The impact of mental health on adults living in England during the Covid-19 lockdown”
INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
Mental health is a condition or state of the individuals welling, with good cognitive skills
and stress management abilities, with the good mental health condition people can work
productive and cope with normal stress of life. COVID-19 is the novel disease caused by acute
respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Covid-19 impacted socio-economic and
health care structure of various countries, including UK. In the United Kingdom England one in
the four people experience a mental health problem each year, there are the various factors of the
life contribute to the mental health issues and during the covid-19 people mental health become
more complicated and serious, impacting their living (Tendolkar, and et. al., 2020). Mental
health is including the emotional, social and psychological well-being, this affected the people
thinking, feeling and actions. This research proposal aims to analyse the impact of mental health
on adults living in England during COVID-19 lock down. That is important to make research on
this topic, because COVID is not complete controlled yet, this can further cause the situation like
lock-down and to control the adverse impact of the mental health on adults living, with effective
interventions, that is very relevant and essential project to done. Set of the reasons in context to
this research proposal are adverse impact of the covid 19 influenced mental health condition on
adults living, such as two thirds of the adults in the UK reported with the feeling of worried
about the effect of COVID-19 on their life. Peoples future plans become insecure and on the
higher risk of opportunities and time loss, feeling of the stress or anxiety and feeling of the
bored.
Mental health of the adults during the Covid-19 effected, the adult living in both positive
and negative terms. Such as due to the covid-19 peoples get enough time to enjoy their life with
family and be stress free from their professional’s life, due to which mental health condition of
some peoples get better and contributed to the good living. In other hand due to the COVID-19
lock-down various peoples suffered the challenges of financial aids and living resources, which
further cased adverse impact on adult’s mental health, due to which adults live their life with
fear, anger, sadness, substance misuse and abnormal behaviour. Reasons behind this research
proposal is making the clear understanding, that how the mental health during the covid-19 is

STUDY DESIGN AND METHODS
Research methodology is the particular process or technique used by the researchers to
identify, select and process the information or data about the specific topic or research gap.
Research methodology allows the readers to evaluate the validity and reliability of the research.
For the selected research aim and objectives and completion of the task. Secondary research will
be taken in order to conduct the research in the appropriate way.

Ontology: The reality of the study which is associated with the mental health issue in
covid-19 lockdown is real and faced by the number of population that used to show broader view
of ontological perspective. Moreover, there are three philosophical position which usually comes
under the prospect of ontological worldview that include the objectivism, constructivism and the

the mental health issue among the population during the covid-19 lockdown is real and this is
verified by the various hospital and counselling session which initiate report that the number of
people used to face the issue of mental health during covid-19 lockdown. The epistemology
include positivism, realism and interpretivism. The positivism identified research question which

make the result which is helpful to accept the probability. With this, the mental health issue
which is associated with the patient during the covid-19 lockdown. The deductive approach
basically focuses on the questionnaire which is help to create the understanding that is related
with the mental health. The questionnaire which is associated with the mental health patient
during the covid-19 is occurred due to social isolation and many more. Moreover, the people
used to face issue due to long term isolation from social group and community which create less
and lack of communication and many more.
Research strategy: The research strategy usually focuses on the how the researcher used to

aspect that include the number of approach that include experimental, case study, questionnaire
based on survey and systematic literature review.
Experimental: In order to investigate the proper data and information which show the
relevance with the quantitative aspect is to review the article which is buffer on the basis of
experimental analysis. As per this, the proper analysis has been taken which used to provide

covid-19 among the populations.
Case study: This is reliable and validated research strategies because it is helpful to
provide the proper data with the aspect of mental health issue which is enhanced during the
covid-19 in the certain countries. The healthcare sector used to provide various data which is
relevant and used to create intervention which prevent the growth of mental health issue. the case
study is sufficient to provide the proper reliable and validated data.
Research choice: The mixed method is common and simple in order to collect the data. The
mixed method contains qualitative and quantitative method to collect the data. The qualitative
method include description, concept and theory based with the morphological characteristic and
quantitative method include statistic and numeric data.
