Coronavirus also known as COVID-19 came into existence in year 2019 and first case was detected in China which cause a
severe respiratory disease together with pneumonia and spread across the world during year 2020. Vaccine was created by various
countries against this deadly virus and governments of several nations encouraged their citizens to take their dose on time. The
following report covers different challenges faced by people in getting vaccine and strategies that should be taken in order to get
them vaccinated.

Common challenges and barriers to effective communication
Physical barriers:
Many citizens of UK face difficulty in reaching to their vaccination centers as sometimes these centers are at distant from their place
of residence. Some people also lack knowledge of how to book online or offline slots for their vaccine.
Emotional barriers:
Most people are scared of getting vaccine as they believe that it will make their health much worse by making them sick or might
cause side-effects. These people also avoid gatherings and ignores going to vaccination centers.
Information barriers:
As this virus is new to people and they does not have correct information regarding this pandemic. They lack knowledge about the
procedure of getting vaccinated and miscommunications spread by unauthorized sources also creates confusion among people.
Attitudinal barriers:
Some of the people believes that vaccine is not right solution against corona-virus and it must not be taken as it could lead more
health risks. If any person wants to get vaccinated, then the people in surrounding environment does not motivate or support that
individual.
Cultural barriers:
Population of UK consist of different citizens that belong to diverse cultures and background which sometimes leads to
discrimination in the country. People does not understand each other’s culture and believes as well as health care department also
lacks in providing proper treatment to minorities which create a feeling of discrimination in them.
Effective strategies for overcoming communication barriers
To make citizens of country more aware about the benefits of vaccine, government must take some initiatives to overcome
these challenges. Some strategies are recommended here:
To create more awareness about vaccine advantage government must circulate correct information through several
communication channels such as televisions, print media, social media, hoardings and radio.
Government must listen to the confusion or concerns of people regarding vaccine and try to find solution for them.
The citizens will trust them more in this way and might get vaccinated.
Government must realize that country consist of diverse people and should provide information in all languages so
that people who does not understand English could also get correct information about vaccine.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it could be concluded that coronavirus (COVID-19) has severely impacted people physically as well
as mentally. It has also been observed that people are not properly aware about advantages of getting vaccinated and have developed
many misconceptions about vaccine in themselves. The citizens of UK have avoid taking vaccine which could create more risk to
their health and it is very crucial for the government to make people informed about benefits of getting vaccine.
