1PROFESSIONAL SKILLS FOR ICT
Answer to question 1
The soft skills as well as IT skills should be focused on by ICT. People make a crucial
mistake by not learning after their completion of diploma. A person’s technical skills
circulates around the knowledge and capabilities possessed by that person related to industrial
work. These are quire hard to achieve and are acquired through several types of training,
internships, work experience and by listening and observing. The skills possessed by a person
is listed in a CV that indicates the capability of the person. There may be other skills as well
belonging to the group of technical skills, such as knowledge of foreign language or
knowledge of using different tools which can be really useful.
However only technical skills are not good enough. The present day employees
identify time management, ability to communicate with people, flexibility and leadership as
skills which a candidate must have to get a job or to retain job in a company. For example,
APPLE company’s CEO Steve Jobs stated that technical skills are not good enough. A person
must have soft skills also. He also showed interest in passion more than in experience while
hiring employees for his company.

2PROFESSIONAL SKILLS FOR ICT
The academic misconduct which is found related to this case is cheating. As per the
CQU Student Academic Integrity Policy and Procedure, the above case is an example of
cheating. Any type of deceit, fraud or dishonesty is termed as cheating that has related to the
assessment such as citations, fake or false data and information that is part of any assessment.
Answer to question 2(c)
The reading schemes which are used for previous task’s completion are:
The paragraph and the given references are reread
Activation of knowledge which was known about machine learning
The key words was located
The given texts were summarized
The paragraph and the references given were thought aloud
It is clear that that there is no similarity between the information in the paragraph and
the reference used for citation. The reference mentioned above cannot be used for the
paragraph. Clearly it is an academic misconduct. The reference cannot be used in the
paragraph as the reference is related to Bayesian model which is used for machine learning
and the paragraph provided is about the application for machine learning. At first, the
paragraph was read thoroughly and then the reference provided in the paragraph was read and
reread. The known knowledge of machine learning was used. After that, it can be said that
the reference and the paragraph are completely different. The key words in the paragraph
were located and the key words were searched on the reference but could not be found. Just
one or two key words were found in the reference. The next thing was to think about the
reference and the paragraph. After reading both the paragraph and the reference, it can be
stated that the paragraph and the reference are not same and is a case of cheating as per the
rules of CQU Student Academic Integrity Policy and Procedure.
