MARK)
It has been decided that the new structure for the education is to be designed by the School
of Engineering and Technology (SET) Indigenisation Committee (The Committee) to enhance the

1 Description The set committee is interested in a project, that
acknowledges the indigenous culture and their traditions.
Therefore, the committee decided to establish educational
hubs in five different CQU campuses. The committee agreed
that a project plan by the end of July 2020 would be good.
The concept included under this project is to enhance the
education, awareness as well as the overall understanding
of the local indigenous people among their respective
campuses. The main task is to ensure the proper
preparation of the project along with developing a tailored
plan for the whole project that will align the essential
requirements of both the PMBoK and the Prince2
requirements (Browning, 2014).
2 Background CQU educational hubs for indigenous studies. This project

CQU campuses where the five educational hubs will be
established include the Rockhampton, Perth, Melbourne,
Brisbane, and Sydney.
3 Major Deliverables Awareness of local indigenous tradition and culture to CQU
students and staff. The major deliverables of this project

cost to be involved in the project. The released plan of the
project is to coincide with the National Aborigines and
Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) in the week
of July month, 2020. The overall cost which is being
estimated to be incurred in the project includes 1 million
dollars (including only the amount of capital cost) and the
cost related to the operations may also be incurred. Apart
from all these, the project will involve the different stages
such as sourcing or securing the suitable facility space for
converting the campuses into the educational hubs,
designing these hubs within the selected CQU campuses
and organizing as well as conducting the opening
ceremonies for acknowledging the different custodians of
traditional nature.
1.2 JUSTIFICATION (3 MARKS)
Developing the educational hubs will not only enhance the level of education but will also lead
all the students towards ensuring the overall personal & professional development.

3. REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT (TOTAL = 5 MARKS)
3.1 TRADITIONAL CUSTODIAN/S OF THE LAND ON WHICH CQ UNIVERSITY
CAMPUSES ARE LOCATED (1 MARK).
Response Table
As the event is taking place in 5 different campuses in five different places, it would be better to
have at least two stakeholders to represent the traditional owners of the land on the CQU
campuses. Handling the multiple operations of five educational hubs will not be easy for one
stakeholder or one indigenous leader, therefore, two leaders/ stakeholders would be suitable
(Torres, et.al. 2012).
3.2. OPENING STATEMENT STYLE (1 MARK)
Response Table
The opening statement usually represents the country. As the event is about the indigenous
people and they are the ones who are in this country first, there is no need of saying "welcome
to the country". We should start the opening statement with "Acknowledgement of the
country" which shows respect to the Torres Strait Islanders and Aboriginals (Bird-Naytowhow,
et.al. 2017).
