1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION (TOTAL = 4 MARKS)
1.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION, BACKGROUND AND MAJOR DELIVERABLES (1
MARK)
The project refers to the activities that are undertaken for meeting the unique services or
products so that the goals of the project can be achieved within the given constraint. The main
focus of the SET committee is to build the new five educational hubs at CQU university campus
only at five different places. These projects are focused by the committee so that number of
students can get the knowledge and learnings from the educational hubs. The cost structure will
be developed for this project and the main deliverables will be determined so that the project can
be accomplished within the particular timeframe and without any hindrances.
Response Table
1 Description The focus of this project is on designing and building of
the educational hubs at five campuses of CQU. These
five campuses include Perth, Melbourne,
Rockhampton, Brisbane, and Sydney. These
educational hubs will help in providing the education
and different programs of training to students by which
they will be able to enhance their knowledge and
learning. The school of engineering and technology
indigenization committee has shown its interest in
those projects through which the visibility can be
shown to the oldest living culture of the world by an
acknowledgement of lands' traditional custodians
where the campuses will be built on.
2 Background CQU university is considered as the best system of
education in Australia and a huge amount of students
are educated through this university every year. The
aim of this university is enhancing the education,
awareness, and understanding of the students of local
indigenous people on their respective campuses. The
facilities and venue will be selected that will suit best
within the existing buildings of CQU and will be
converted into the educational hubs. Further
information will be gathered by the committee
regarding the funding of the project and it has been
agreed that the project will be completed by the end of
July 2020.
3 Major Deliverables The estimation is made by the committee that the total
project’s cost to be around one million dollars which
are approximately 200000 dollars per educational hub.
The cost included in this 1 million dollars includes only
the capital cost and operational cost and rent cost will
be an additional cost which will be excluded from this
capital cost. This project aims to enhance the
education and learnings of the students and making
them more efficient in the learning (Powers, et. al.,
2014).

3. REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT (TOTAL = 5 MARKS)
3.1 TRADITIONAL CUSTODIAN/S OF THE LAND ON WHICH CQ UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES
ARE LOCATED (1 MARK).
Response Table
The project is building five educational hubs and appointment of just one stakeholder will
not be sufficient as it will not be possible for him to keep eye on all the five hubs’ working
progress. So there should be at least two of the stakeholder’s appointment is necessary so
that the complete monitoring and controlling of the operations can be done and they can
represent before the traditional owners of the lands (Heravi, et. al., 2015).
3.2. OPENING STATEMENT STYLE (1 MARK)
Response Table
Acknowledgement of the country will be appropriate to use as the opening
ceremony statement as there are traditional owners and aboriginals or traits people who
will get attracted by this statement giving the impression that the traditional culture and
ethics have been considered while designing this CQU hub of education (Tanya, 2018).
3.3 REQUIREMENTS GATHERING FOR CQU EDUCATIONAL HUBS FOR INDIGENOUS
STUDIES PROJECT (1 MARK)
Response Table
The use of documentation from the community of Vietnam should not be used for this
project’s purpose as both the country has different culture and traditions. They have
different values and ethics which have a different immense effect. Stakeholders will not be
befitted by this approach and may fail. Therefore, the detailed research should be
conducted so that the project can get success and does not harm the traditional cultures,
beliefs, and values (Han, et. al., 2015).
3.4 REQUIREMENTS TRACEABILITY (0.5 MARK)
Response Table
There are around five campuses where the educational hubs will be built so to trace the
progress of the project, the detailed documentation is required to be maintained. One
should be regarding the project’s goals and objectives so to monitor if the significant
progress is being made towards their achievement. The technical documentation should
also be made including the Gantt chart, work break down structure, different techniques,
and equipment that will be used so that each activity's feasibility can be checked and
corrective action can be taken.
3.5 REQUIREMENTS PRIORITIZATION PROCESS (1 MARK)
Response Table
Assignment 2 PPMP20008 (T2 – 2019) V5
Document Page
PMMP 20008 – Initiating and Planning Projects (T2) Assignment 2
Requirement prioritization is significant as this can minimize the various types of risk that
can occur while this project so that the requirements that are prioritized first and are high
can be implemented first. This process is required to be communicated to the stakeholders
as through this stakeholder will get to know about the areas where they need to
concentrate more. Each task and activities needs should be identified and what type and
amount of resources are required will be identified (Hujainah, et. al., 2018).
3.6 MoSCoW TECHNIQUE (0.5 MARK)
Response Table
# Components Explanation
1. Must -have The initiatives that are most significant
for the project
2. Should -have They are an essential but not a vital
component for the project. These can
be slated for the release in the future
without making any impact on the
current one.
3. Could-have They are not a core function of the
project. If they are left then would have
very less impact on the project.
4. Will not have These are the resources that need not
be in the priority list for the particular
timeframe (Erukulapati, 2017).

4 SCOPE (TOTAL = 10 MARKS)
4.1 INTRODUCTION TO SCOPE (1 MARK)
Response Table
Before starting the construction work, the selection of the location will be made in the
different campus places and the design will be made accordingly. The analysis of the
space will be done in detail. The recruitment of the teachers for the educational hubs will
be conducted and students will be targeted as per the market demand. The planning will
be made concerning the opening ceremony of the educational hubs at all the five locations
and the different promotional strategy will be adopted to attract a large number of students.
WBS dictionary will help in creating the efficiency of the project and provide with the tasks’
list that will be conducted in an orderly manner so that there is no ambiguity and work will
be performed without any hindrance (Akrami, 2012).
