1.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION, BACKGROUND AND MAJOR DELIVERABLES (1

1 Description The project has been made for establishing the five educational
hubs for all the local indigenous people to enhance the deep &
higher level of understanding as well as the increasing
awareness for the education within the chosen/ selected CQU
campuses (Browning, 2014).
2 Background It has been identified that the School of Engineering and
Technology (SET) Indigenisation Committee is interested in
developing the project that can give the visibility to the oldest
living culture of the indigenous people by highly acknowledging
all the traditional custodians within the lands on which the
campuses are built on. Hence, the decision has been taken by
the committee to encourage, support & enhance the level of
education among all the local indigenous group of people by
developing the five educational hubs at different places. These
hubs are to be situated at Brisbane, Perth, Sydney,
Rockhampton, and Melbourne.
3 Major Deliverables The scope of the project includes the proper selection of the
most appropriate venue as well as the facilities in the effective as
well as in an efficient manner (Kivilä, et.al. 2017). The estimated
time for project completion is June 2021. Apart from these, the
estimated cost should not be more than $1 million, which will be
in the form of the capital cost and the other additional expenses
can be incurred as the operational cost.

3.1 TRADITIONAL CUSTODIAN/S OF THE LAND ON WHICH CQ UNIVERSITY
CAMPUSES ARE LOCATED (1 MARK).

One stakeholder will not be able to handle the multiple operations within the different places in
the CQU campus & it may become very difficult for only one stakeholder to ensure the standard
balance between all the five educational hubs (Lee, 2012). Therefore, two or more than
stakeholders should be appointed so that they can highly & effective represent the traditional
indigenous leaders, efficiently.
3.2. OPENING STATEMENT STYLE (1 MARK)

It needs to be understood that the educational hubs are to be established for the students of
the country only & also to promote the culture of the indigenous people who already lies in the
country, therefore, the opening statement, “Acknowledgement of country” should be selected
rather than “welcome to the country” & hence showing the respect to the people (Gurkov &
Kokorina, 2017).
3.3 REQUIREMENTS GATHERING FOR CQU EDUCATIONAL HUBS FOR
INDIGENOUS STUDIES PROJECT (1 MARK)

The project executives need to understand that the culture of the Vietnamese community is
different from the culture of the indigenous people. Therefore, this document should be selected
