[Instruction:
The Senior Supplier has asked whether there can be a single key stakeholder representing
the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the relevant Central Queensland Campuses

stakeholder representing the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Central
Queensland Campuses are located.

answer. At least one supporting reference must be inserted to justify your response].
Response Table
There needs to be more that key stakeholder that would need to be involved because the
land belongs to the aboriginal people and it is necessary to take their permission before
using it. The celebration being decided would need to be done in a way that all of the
stakeholders are satisfied rather than there being one.
3.2.OPENING STATEMENT STYLE (1 MARK)
[Instructions:
State which of the two opening statement styles, ‘Welcome to Country’ or
‘Acknowledgement of Country’, is appropriate for the campus leaders to use at the opening
ceremoniesfor the new educational hubs. Please provide a brief explanation justifying your
answer.
Guidance Notes:
The Project Board has asked that the respective campus leaders officiate at the naming
ceremonies for the new educational hubson their campus and ask your advice regarding which
statement should be used at the opening ceremonies for the new educational hubs. The Board are
not sure if it should be a “Welcome to Country” or an “Acknowledgement of Country”. The campus
leaders are not of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. At least one supporting reference
must be inserted to justify your response].
Response Table
The board should say ‘Welcome to Country’ because they are traditional people who
would want that not too much of new is introduced. They are also known as indigenous
people so this would be more of a better sign to be put up. They are known to be the
caretakers of Australia for a long time so it would be appropriate to use this (Gee, et. al.
2014).

They are known to be the
caretakers of Australia for a long time so it would be appropriate to use this (Gee, et. al.
2014).
