1 Project Description
1.1 Project Description and Background
The NAIDAC Week celebration is planned and is to be taking place on the main campus of the CQ
University. The project is coordinative organised by CQ University and national Aborigines and
Islanders Day Observance committee (NAIDAOC). The main purpose of this project is to create
awareness about the understanding of cultures and values of the local Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander
community. There are different protocols that the people of different cultures and followings are using
(Wu, et. al., 2014). Hence it is important that the people of society must understand the cultural
protocols of the Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander community. From this, the participants will be getting
the awareness about the people of society which will be making the people to actively participate in
the promotion of the community’s needs and requirements. The program has been named with the
theme of “Originators”. This theme has been chosen to make the people understand the actual
originators of the original people of the specific place. This project is availing different opportunities
for the various activities which will be helping in enhancing the understanding and skills. The project
will highly be aiding in knowing and creating a healthy relationship with the aboriginal people of the
cited destinations (Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017).
1.2 Justification
The project chosen is very motivating and influencing in nature as with the help of this the
participants will be enthusiastically taking part in the activities in an effective way. The main
concern behind this project and celebration is to make the people aware about the importance
and value of the cultures that is followed by people in different regions. The result of this
particular project will be very supporting and positive for the staffs and the students. Though it
is beneficial, some limitations will be creating issues in the project like the financial resources
and the time factor (Marchewka, 2014). The output is the outcome or the result that will be
drawn from the project performed. The outcome will assist the students of the cited university
to enhance their skills and knowledge about the theme. Below is the output, outcomes and its
benefits in the tabular form to better outstand about the attainments of the chosen project.
