INTRODUCTION
Personal pitch is term used to define the individual overall summary of the
experience, learning and skills. Being a graduate it is essential for the individual
to develop the well organised and planned pitch to achieved the employment in
order to attain the career and future progression. The individual must also
address all the key competencies that a person holds in order to strengthen the
pitch.

 I have achieved graduate degree from top ranked
university with distinction.
 I have achieved merit in all of my graduation subjects
(Jamieson and Jamieson, 2019).
 I am awarded with first position in graduation course.
 I have also secured extra certificates in diploma courses
during my graduation.
 I have exceptional computer science skills and
knowledge of coding.
 I am highly dedicated and determined towards my goals
for career and responsibilities.
 I have no existing experience.
 I don’t have any practical or experimental knowledge
and experience.
 I am irregular and late to my work due to low time
management skills
 I have poor communication skills.
 I have poor oral presentation skills during the work
meetings.
 I have lack of problem solving and critical thinking
skills.
 I have less potential to lead because of minimal
leadership skills (Nuwan, Perera and Dewagoda, 2020).

Opportunities Threats
 As my leadership skills are minimal therefore I
have an opportunity to enhance my leadership
skills.
 There is huge amount of vacancy for jobs in best
organisation therefore I have an opportunity to
gain experience.
 As there is concept of work from home I have
opportunity to work remotely and gain
experience along with m studies.
 I have opportunity to join practical learning class
to gain experimental knowledge and experience
to outshine my resume.
 The poor communication skills are threat to my
career growth as due to lack of interaction I make
myself abide of future opportunities and also I
don’t learn from peer to peer support.
 Lack of time management is threat to my growth
as slowly progress and also lose some great
opportunities and me in punctuality also impact
my personality.
 The peers with the better skill sets are the threat
to me as this might not make to selected in the
job of my choice.

Impact of gaps-
According to the above table of SWOT analysis I have critically evaluated that my
strengths are highly helpful to me in career growth but I have also analysed that my
weaknesses of skills, attributes and attitude will make my career progress slow. My
weaknesses are my gaps of skills and attributes that impact my professional and personal
life both. As I have no experimental knowledge that may lose my confidence of having
theoretical knowledge and also abide me from some outstanding job opportunities. My
weaknesses are the barriers to my growth. The lack of communication skills is impacting
badly over my personality as this reflects my introvert nature and also make me nervous
during debates, interview and other meetings.

Impact of gaps-
The less practical knowledge also decreases my working ability and reflects less productive
career. Because of the poor time management, I have many times lose some best job
opportunities and also it has created a bad impact on the recruiter (Engle and et. al., 2017.
The lack of leadership skills also makes me poor in taking responsibility and make me lose
my confidence as leader. This weakness impacted my resume badly because this make less
compatible than other candidates because this skill also make me accountable and
responsible for my actions. My low communication and presentation skills can badly
impact my profile as in working environment these two skills are highly important to
communicate with clients, sub ordinates, fellow members and customers. My lack of
problem solving and decision making skills are also bad for my career growth as this will
puzzle me in decision making related to my life goals, career progression and also for my
decisions related to my post graduate employment.

FUTURE TRAINING AND
DEVELOPMENT
In order to omit such weaknesses and to make my career stronger I must enrol myself into the
future training and development course in order to develop my capabilities and competencies.
The future training and development will help me in developing my strengths and skills and
also help me reducing the degree of my weakness. In order to increase my communication
skills, I have enrolled myself into public speaking club there I will learn to talk to new people
and also I will learn to put my ideas among everyone. To improve my time management
skills, I have decided to plan a timetable by setting my priorities for work and personal life.
Also it is important for me to improve my presentation skills for which I have decided to take
training for presentation skills there I will polish my oral presentation skills which will
include my body language, gestures etc. I will more work on my confidence to uplift my
personality and learn problem solving skills by solving case studies to also improve my
critical thinking skills.

The reasons for some potential academic advancement activities and related potential
barriers to advancement for my career growth and development and further
employment as graduate student are:
Gaining the leadership and management skills highly important for my future career
as it will help me in planning and managing the teams during the job can also help me
to develop myself with appropriate leadership style thereby making me responsible
and accountable to manage the various working activities for potential growth and
career progression but it also contains some progression barriers lack of
encouragement and support of higher authorities and lack of promotions and
development opportunities which hinders my progression activities in a significant
manner (Lin and et. al., 2019).

CONCLUSION
• From the above report it is concluded that personal pitch is all about the self-
capabilities, competencies and self-confidence. Therefore, as graduate an individual
must construct an outstanding pitch to convince the other person to towards him.
Also developing skills and competencies are essential for career progression and for
future opportunities. Therefore, it is very important to analysing key competencies
that will help in recognising the shortcomings which will be overcome using the
opportunity and the strengths and to create the current path which will direct towards
the long term goals of achieving the good position in the work related life.
