Functional and non functional requirements
Functional requirements:
It is the any type of requirement which shows that what the system can perform or do. It means
that the functional requirements will provide the proper description of the behaviour through
which the functions of systems can be defined. It shows that how the requirements are meeting
with each other.
A functional requirement contains:
1. Rules of business
2. Authentication
3. Tracking based on audit
4. External interfaces
5. Requirements of certification
6. Historical data
7. Requirements based on legal or regulatory basis
8. Functions of administrative
9. Proper transactions
10. Adjustments or the cancellations
This classification provides the proper detail of the objectives for which the system will be
deigned. It is considered as the core of the system requirements. It is necessary because of to
read out the mind of client which helps in increase the business ratio. When the functional
requirements are taken in the system, then the requirements will be outlined in the specific
documents. Functionality will be understood by taking it according to the present scenario. This
provides the specification of integration of the one product with the similar one or other one. It
also contributes with the brands and comparison list which will be depend o the user choice.
Some common rules of the functional requirements are:
1. The functional requirements should be meeting with the requirements of business.
2. Review for the functionalities can be conducted on the timely basis which ensures that
the direction of the project will be perfect or not.
3. The rules and regulations are in the strict manner which shows that the information is
safe or not leak outside.
Non functional requirements:
Non functional requirements can be defined as the requirement which shows that how system
