2CREATION OF A NEW WEBSITE
1. Introduction
Online job portals are a type of business website which are very much helpful for the
job seekers all around the world. Most of these business websites falls under the category of
Customer to Customer business model as the clients of these websites can trade with each
other from the online environment of this website. Specific promotional strategy can be
selected by any of the organizations who are using the online portal (Lovaglio et al. 2018).
There are diverse categories of advantages as well as limitations related with most of the job
seeking portals. The major advantages of these websites is that it is very much beneficial for
the end users to search jobs based on their priorities like experience, location, expected salary
and areas of expertise (Makdoun et al. 2018). The limitations of these online portal are
unresponsiveness as most of the job seekers uses these applications from their personal
mobile devices to access these kinds of business websites.
This research paper will be very much useful to identify the exact problems related
with most online job portals all around the world. The paper shall focus on the creation of a
new online job portal which can be very much beneficial for the consumers of these websites.
How the creation of a new website shall address the challenges which are faced by the end
users of these business websites shall be described and critically evaluated in this research
paper from different perspectives.
This research paper shall be diverse subsections related with this research paper as it
will be illustrating the problems related with online job portals, research questions, the
different categories of theories which has been considered while creating a new website, and
the different categories of research methods which have been considered in this research, the
different categories of basic business conditions which were considered while working on the

coding part of the software which have been developed, the technological concepts related
with the creation of a new website shall also be discussed in this report.
2. Problem Statement
There are diverse categories of challenges which are related with most of the job
portal websites all over the world such as the management of the low output and high noise,
management of the unresponsiveness of the website, difficulties in applying the job in the
portal, management of the anonymity of the website, managing the data security issues
related with the online portal, and managing the diverse categories of spamming activities
coming from the social engineers all over the world. Each of these challenges are required to
be addressed in the first place so that the actual effectiveness of the portal is enjoyed by its
end users.
3. Research questions
The research questions of this research paper are as followings:
1: What are the challenges faced by the end users of the online job portal websites?
2: What are the non-functional and functional specifications of an online job portal
website?
3: How can the expectations of the job seekers managed with the help of an online job
portal?
4. Relevant theories
Theory of process: The diverse categories of interactions which takes place in these
business websites can be managed in the first place with the help of this theory. The series of
stages required for each of the interactions can be managed in the first place with the help of

this theory as well. The diverse contexts of the website can be selected on the basis of this
theory.
Theory of content: The characteristics of the contents can be formed on the basis of
this theory, this theory is very much useful to understand how job seekers can get the benefits
of an online portals (Nomura et al. 2017). The contribution of the websites can be understood
in the first place with the help of this website.
Job theory: Also known as jobs to be done theory, based on the theory it can be said
that focusing on the consumers is one of the prime objectives of the coders who works in
these projects (Rai, Agrawal, and Khaliq 2017). The expectations of the potential end users is
considered on the basis of this theory while working on the design part of this business
website.
5. Research methods
There are diverse categories of research methods which are considered in this paper
such as the followings:
5.1 Investigation
Three diverse categories of investigation procedure are generally considered in
research paper such as the hypothesis investigation, descriptive investigation, and exploratory
investigation. The exploratory investigation is usually selected when there are very limited
data which are related with the selected topic (Ramkumar and Rajini 2019). Descriptive
investigation is selected when relevant theories are there related with the selected topic. The
presence of diverse categories of hypothesis in a research paper can select the hypothesis
investigation.
Document Page
5CREATION OF A NEW WEBSITE
Justification: Based on the detailed description of the three diverse categories of
investigation techniques which are generally considered in the research paper, it can be said
that descriptive investigation topic has been selected in this research. There are diverse
categories of relevant concept and theories related with the selected topic. The diverse
categories of non-quantified topics can be understood and its relevancy can be identified in
the first place with the help of this investigation technique. The non-quantified issues related
with the selected topic can also be understood using this investigation procedure. The other
reason behind the selection of this investigation is that it is very well aligned with the chosen
data collection procedure.
5.2 Collection of data
Primarily there are two categories of data collection methods which are considered in
the research papers such as the secondary data collection method and the primary data
collection method. Secondary data is collected from secondary sources like government
databases and reliable databases (Sedano, Ralph and Péraire 2017). Primary data is collected
from primary source with the help of different data collection procedures such as focus
groups, group discussions, online survey, personal interview and first hand research.
Justification: The data collection procedure which are considered in this research
paper is secondary data collection procedure. The data of this research has been collected
from secondary source like Google Scholar. Only latest peer reviewed journals were selected
from Google Scholar for this research paper so that the reliability of this research can be
enhanced. This data collection procedure is very much economical in nature and much effort
is not required in thus type of data collection method. Searching and sorting or articles can be
done within a fraction of second with the help of this data collection procedure. New data
was readily available in Google Scholar which can be of the other reason behind the selection
Document Page
6CREATION OF A NEW WEBSITE
of this data collection procedure from the peer reviewed articles. The gaps as well as the
deficiency in research can be fulfilled in the first place using the secondary data is the other
significant reason behind selecting this data collection procedure.
5.3 Method sampling
Usually there are two prime categories of data sampling methods which are
considered in research papers such as the non-probabilistic sampling method and
probabilistic sampling method. The raw data which are collected from primary data are
generally sampled with the help of the probabilistic sampling method, whereas the data
collected from the secondary sources are mostly generalized in nature as a result these are
analysed with the help of non-probabilistic sampling method (Wagner and Ruhe 2018). The
selection of the data sampling procedure depends upon the selection of the data collection
procedure. The sampling method of this research paper is the non-probabilistic sampling
method.
Justification: The data which were collected from the peer reviewed journals are
mostly texts and each of the explanations are in generalized nature. The critical analysis of
each of the discussions are also in generalized manner. There are no real numerical values
related with the data which are collected as the secondary data. Hence it can be said that the
selection of the non-probabilistic sampling method is very much justified. The other reason
behind the selection of this sampling method is that it is very much time effective as
compared with the other categories of sampling method. The cost of the non-probabilistic
sampling method is also low as compared with the other categories.
5.4 Analysis of collected data
The two diverse types of data analysis procedures which are considered in the
research papers are the quantitative and the qualitative data analysis procedures. The nature

of the data depends the data analysis procedure. Qualitative data analysis can be defined as
the type of data analysis procedure which are very much useful to analyse the collected data.
Understanding and interpretation are the two contributions of the qualitative data analysis.
Apart from this data analysis technique there are other data analysis techniques as well like
the quantitative data analysis technique (Zaroor, Maree and Sabha 2017). The average set of
values can be understood in the first place using the quantitative data analysis techniques, it
can also be said that the midpoint of the set of numerical values can also be determined in the
first place using this method. The data analysis method which was chosen in this research is
quantitative data analysis.
Justification: Quantitative data analysis techniques was chosen as the data analysis
procedure in this research paper as it is very well aligned with descriptive investigation
procedure. The main reason behind the selection of this data analysis type is that the variables
of the research was studied in the first place using this data analysis technique.
5.5 Ethical issues
There were diverse categories of ethical issues which were considered while working
on this research such as the management of the data which was collected from secondary
sources. The data collection and the data analysis was done considering the famous Data
Protection Act of 1998. Privacy and security of those data was maintained using different
protocols. Each scholars whose works were considered in the secondary data collection were
referenced in the concluding sections of this research.
5.6 Limitations of the research
This research had several limitations which are related with this research paper like
the management of the cost related with this project. There are different categories of cost
related issues related with this research like the data collection and data analysis, each of

them was managed in the first place. Management of the available resources was the other
limitations related with this research paper. There was a very limited time which was
available for the data collection and data analysis which was the other limitations of this
research paper. The smaller sample size was also considered as one of the prime drawbacks
of this research paper. This research paper considered only secondary data collection
procedure from secondary resources, whereas the primary data collection could have
enhanced the reliability of this research paper.
6. Technological concepts
According to Calefato et al. (2018), there diverse categories of web development
frameworks which are considered in the software development projects such angular, ruby
on rails, and meteor JS. Each of these frameworks are very much significant to select and
optimise the operations of a new framework. The paper highlighted the significance of
HTML and CSS which are used in designing a new business software (Chitre and Patil 2016).
The paper highlighted that the design of the business software must be very much simpler in
nature so that both the non-technical as well as the technical users can access the new created
software.
On the other hand, as elaborated by Bilal et al. (2017), most of the business software
are designed in such a manner so that it is very much easy to register and use a business
software. The paper was very much useful to understand that flexibility is very much
significant for the growth of any business (Dingsøyr et al. 2016). The paper helped in
understanding that every business website must have a better SEO.
However, as elaborated by Beblavy, Fabo and Lenaerts (2016), the selection of the
functional as well as the non-functional requirements depends upon the expectations of the
consumers of a business. The investigator of this paper highlighted that admin panel is one of

9CREATION OF A NEW WEBSITE
the primary tools which are used in the backend of a software. The management of each of
the orders are managed in the first place with the help of the admin panel (Hoda et al. 2017).
The investigator of this paper highlighted that that products and services of the online job
portal can be edited by the owner of the business with the help of the admin panel. Each
content of the website can be managed from the admin panel as described by the investigators
of this paper. New features and services can be managed from the admin panel as well as
stated by the investigators of the paper (Hosain, Ullah and Khudri 2016). The paper
highlighted that the entire User Interface of the website can be changed according to the
business conditions from admin panel. Thus, this paper helps in understanding that admin
panel can be very much beneficial to administrate a business website.
As discussed by Alahyari, Svensson and Gorschek (2017), user panel is very much
important for the users of a business software such as the online job portals. The paper is very
much useful to understand that restrictions of access is one of the prime objectives from this
panel (Khan et al. 2019). The entire registration procedure for a new member can be
managed from the user panel of the website. The investigator of this journal helped in
understanding the significance of private message section which can be used for
communication purposes between the end users of the website and the admins of the website
(Kim et al. 2016). The investigator of the paper highlighted that most of the business
software have a user profile from where their personal details can be viewed.
According to Abrahamsson et al. (2017), most of the professional online job portals
must be having navigation sections where bids can be viewed for a specific job. The
researchers highlighted that both the pending as well as the approved bids must be viewed
from the admin panel (Lei et al. 2017). The paper also highlighted that the different
categories of bidders must be sorted by admins based on locations.

7. Conclusion
The prime challenges which are faced in most of the online job portals are
unresponsiveness, management of the anonymity, managing the data security issues and
spamming issues. This research paper was very much useful to understand that functional as
well as non-functional has to be selected by the developers in such a manner so that it can
meet the expectation of the consumers or the job seekers. Different categories of theories
were considered in this research project such as the jobs to be done theory, this research
considered secondary data collection, non-probabilistic sampling method, and quantitative
data analysis procedures. The prime ethical issue of this paper was to maintain the originality
of the secondary data whereas the prime limitation of the research was its limited budget and
time. Different technological concepts was discussed in this research such as the platforms
which were used to create a new online job portals like HTML and CSS. Significance of the
user panel and the admin panel can also be understood from this discussions of this paper.
