INTRODUCTION
Leadership is considered as ability or skill of a person through which they can
effectively manage their work as well as organization operations. It is essential for a company
management to have effective leadership skill as that will help in conducting working
operations in best manner for attainment of desire goal (Ali and Yildiz, 2020). The respective
report include information about a creative and ethical leadership of a person. Moreover it
also include several factors which are required to become a creative and ethical leader.
Topics covered in respective project are personal statement of an individual, self – reflection
on experiences and personal development planning. Along with this it also showcase research
on suitable leadership in the industry.
MAIN BODY
Personal statement
I want to work as a marketing manager in a car rental company and for that I need to
have several skills, abilities and knowledge so that I can perform best in company. I have
several skills and abilities which show that I am the best person for the respective profile such
as I have effective communication skill. It is so because during my course I easily interact
with other as well as I also make other understand about my topic. This skill will help me in
interacting with potential customers and satisfy them by understanding their need, demand or
expectation (Amayreh, 2020). This skill also help in managing staffs in proper way which
leads to accomplishment of work effectively.
Self - reflection on experiences
I want to be a marketing manager at the car rental company. I want to develop my
career in marketing because during my university I understand or determined that I am
interested in that field as well as in respective filed I able to develop creative and innovative
ideas. During my university I go through a training program in a company where I was
working in a marketing team and during that I understand my several are strengths which
help in completing work on time. On the other hand I also determined that I want that I need
to enhance some of my skill which help in develop more effective and successful career in
respective sector. In team my responsibility was to do research and determine current trends
as well as identify best social media channel for the company so that they can attract more
and more customers towards their products and services. Along with this responsibility, I also
need to give presentation of my whole research work in front of my seniors so that they can

develop decision accordingly. During this I determined that I have several skills which help
me in accomplishing my goal and objectives successfully such as I have effective research
and analysis skills. Through this skill I do proper research on the work which I have given as
well as I also determining current trends on regular basis that help seniors in develop decision
or improving in the current one (Brackett and McKnight, 2020). Along with this, by having
effective analytical skill I evaluate the best social media channel according to company
products and services. By my research work my seniors able to conduct their work more
effectively as well as they also appraise me on this talent or skill.
During training period I worked in a team that provide me numbers of opportunity to
showcase my strength skill as well as during this I also understand my weakness. During
working in team I understand that I have effective communication skill because I properly
interact with my team members as well as seniors. This will help us in minimizing the
situation of conflict in team that may directly impact on our performance negatively. In
addition to this, while working in a team I also determine that I have flexible skill according
to which I can module myself according to the requirement of situation. For example I
generally work inside the office but one day I need to go out for field research so during this
change I mould myself effectively and perform properly. During this, my seniors are happy
with my performance as well as they also appraise me with performance certificate.
Moreover, I also evaluate that I have good judgement which help me in determining the best
content for the report as well as it also help me in identifying the best social media for my
firm where they advertise about their operation, products and services successfully
(Greenbaum and et. al., 2020). The good judgement skill also help in identifying good friends
for me who help me in my growth as well as through this I also determine toxic people from
which I can maintain social distance.
On the other hand I also able to understand my weak skills that I need to enhance or
improve in order be a successful marketing manager in a car rental industry where I want to
work. I need to enhance my problem solving skill because I effectively communicate with
people but I am not able to solve their as well as mine problem. Due to which sometime I get
irritated because for my decision I need to be independent on other that I not wanted to be. So
it is essential for me to enhance my problem solving skill. Moreover, I also need to improve
my team working skill as sometime I got irritated by listening opinion of so many people at
that time sometime I sought on other. So I need to enhance my team working skill so that I
can effective work in a team as well as it is also helpful in my future career development as

so that I will not sought on my team members as this will impact negatively on the

need to enhance my patience skill properly for my as well as my teammate’s performance

giving presentation of my research work I get little bit confuse as well as I also not much

they say to enhance respective skill as that will helpful in the future growth. I also need to
enhance my persuade skill because during presentation I try to influence my senior but I not
able to be succeed as it also impact on my presentation. So I need to enhance my persuade
skill so that I can effective influence my customers, client and employees by becoming a
marketing manager in car rental company.
So at the last I get to know my strength skill are communication skill, flexible skill,
research and analysis skill and good judgement skill. But I also need to polish these skill so
that I can make effective as well as successful career as the marketing manager in a
multination company of car rental industry. Moreover I also understand that I need to
improve several skills such as problem solving skill, team working skill, patience skill, and
presentation skill and persuade skill. It is so because by increasing or improving these skills I
able to conduct more effective work as the marketing manager. According to my manager
during the training they also agree on my decision to enhance these skill for the development
of a successful future in the car rental industry.

In this section situation analysis is conducted in order to develop understanding
related to the industry. Industry analysis is considered as market evaluation tool which is used

Through this they mainly get to know what is happened in industry such as demand supply
statistics change or so on. It mainly include major three elements i.e. underlying forces at the
workplace, overall attractive factor of industry as well as critical factor which determine an
organization success in a specific industry (Younas and et. al., 2020). In respect of car rental
industry in which Hertz rental car is operating. Through the industry analysis it is determined
that they are experiencing bankruptcy situation due to COVID 19. In this time respective
company need to have creative and innovative leadership so that they can overcome the
situation successfully. Moreover, in respect of this Hertz rental car may adopt different
leadership styles which are mentioned below:-
Situational leadership theory – According to respective theory leader adopt creative
way to make employees understand about the situation through which company is
currently going. In respect of Hertz rental car, their leadership conduct meeting and
make employees understand that they are going through tough situation as well as
they need to do more effective work. In respect of this respective company leader may
develop whole setup of office according to guideline so that employees feel motivated
that their firm is taking care of their employees during pandemic.
