CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION 1
Introduction
Innovation is basically a tool in the hand of the organization by which they can maintain
their position in the market despite competition. Due to globalization every single organization
small as well as big organization got equal right to enter in any market of their choice. This has
increased the level of competition among the organizations and even this has affected their profit
margin (Carrillo, Druehl & Hsuan, 2015). Innovation acts as the backbone of the company which
helps to remain sustainable in this dynamic business environment. Innovation must not be
considered up to technology level only but it must be connected with the culture of the
organization, behaviour, and people of the organization. Working on an innovation platform
assists organization to keep on improving in order to make things great from their best position.
While creativity is known as the supportive pillar of innovation because it helps in generating a
pool of ideas which can later be transformed into reality. Creativity acts as supplementary
aspects in the innovation because it adds worth to its direction in the business market (Tucci et
al., 2016). Creativity is not limited to the organization, it also an important part of the community
in which every human is living. It influences the living standards of the common individual.
Difference between innovation and creativity
As per the study, it has been seen that through innovation and creativity are interlinked
with each other still they are different. Innovation is actually the implementation of the right idea
from the pools of ideas by putting life into it with the help of competencies. While creativity is
actually a process in which a lot of ideas are being generated with the help of tools like
brainstorming, mind mapping and so on (Revilla & Rodríguez-Prado, 2018). Creativity has no
such step called implementation as compared to innovation. It has been found out that it not
possible to set up a measuring pattern for creativity because it is a mind game to generate new
ideas and do not exist on the real platform. But when it comes to measuring innovation, it is
possible because every aspect is in implementation or visible phase (Edwards-Schachter et al.,
2015). Innovation offers the organization such a platform on which it can identify the actual
expectation of the potential customer in order to determine what next can be offered. Creativity
is free from any kind of risk because it is in tangent form while innovation is in tangent form and
therefore is always in the radar of risk in this dynamic business world (Howaldt et al., 2016).
Changes which are introduced in the organization for better outcome are actually the part of
innovation and are interlinked with creativity. At the present time, innovation is known as the
central node which connects other nodes of method, pattern, and mergers. While creativity can
be seen as part of this node and work as a catalyst in the overall process. Innovation must not be
connected to product or service development only but it must be connected with the overall

continuous improvement process (Liu et al., 2017). For every innovation creativity is essential
but for creativity innovation is just a tool which transforms their thinking into real life only but
does not play an important role in developing ideas. But at the same time if we are not able to
provide life to our ideas then creativity will not be of no use and will be soon seen as just an art
which can entertain the public but cannot offer them a quality standard life which they are
expecting (Chua, Roth & Lemoine, 2015). Therefore innovation and creativity are a connected
process which cannot function effectively if separated from each other.
Every process present in this business world cannot run or operation on its own. It is always in
need of some medium, which can operate this improvement process. This mediator role is being
played by the entrepreneurship, which encourages or motivates more and more people to become
part of this life-changing process (Ratten, 2016). In addition to this, entrepreneurship also helps
in offering right direction to the attributes present in the individual towards their personal and
professional development. In addition, this entrepreneurship helps in generating an economic
platform, which provides support to the culture of innovation and creativity. Entrepreneurship
also connects the job opportunities with the innovation, which ultimately provides a reasonable
platform for the youth to explore the world in their own setup (Wyrwich, Stuetzer & Sternberg,
2016). Entrepreneurship acts as a mediator in between the innovation and community
development by offering knowledge related to the importance of innovation and creativity in the
world. In addition to this, entrepreneurship helps in relating to the circulation of capital in the
society with the help of innovation in order to bring balanced regional development (Stuetzer et
al., 2018).

the market (Builtin, 2018). In addition to this robot, also display human emotions in order to

Currently, the business world has become very tough and even the chance of surviving in
this competitive environment has decreased because the profit share is being divided into a larger
number of the organization. In this situation, an employee plays a very important role in the
sustainability of the organization by offering various creative ideas (Martinaityte, Sacramento &
Aryee, 2019). This continuous attempt of making present product/service great from best ensure
the growth of the organization. At present time every organization is in the position of buying
advanced technology and using high tech approaches but one thing which makes innovative
company different from other is their creative employees (Mittal & Dhar, 2015). From many
years employees have contributed a lot in the progress of the organization with their high-end
capability and are still offering their services in this business market.

As per the study it has been found that creativity is present in everyone but the important
thing is to identify attributes which can be offered proper direction. Many believe that creativity
is god gift and cannot be developed but it is not true because there are numerous example of
people who have created their fortune on the high rate of their unsuccessful attempts instead of
successful attempts (Tse, To & Chiu, 2018). Some of them have not even earned their graduate-
level degree and has established their empire on their attempts.
Brain chesky, Joe Gebbia, Hamdi Ulukaya, Alex Zhu and Luyu are best example of
people who have offered something new to the world. These individuals have seen the world
with different even and have created the most innovative inventions in the world (Belas &
Ključnikov, 2016). Some of the qualities which make them different from others are a better
understanding of world, clear vision, believe in transforming best in to better and think out of the
box. One of the most important attributes which is common in them is they all are not afraid of
failure (Sohn, 2016). They do not directly jump on the end result, they first form a network of
ideas and then try to offer a fit model to each node. Adding a creative person it is always seen as
a beneficial aspect for the team as well as for the organization because these people brought
some value which can be only measured in terms of success. Creative people have a lot of things
to offer (Muñoz-Bullón, Sánchez-Bueno & Vos-Saz, 2015). They offer the organization the right
key which helps them to form a protective layer around them.
Conclusion
Innovation and creativity are considered as the backbone of the business world. Growth
and development of any organization are completely dependent on innovation. Creativity offers
the necessary support to the innovation to introduce new models, pattern, approach in the
business market by offering a larger pool of ideas. In this world of competition, if an
organization really want to survive they have to continuously offer new product/service in the
business market. In addition, the organization must link innovation with the organization culture,
behaviour and community in which organization is operating. Innovation must be connected with
the creative people in order to offer that type of attributes which are essential to fulfill the gap
between the reality and expectation of the potential customer.
