The entire cricket team and the world was shocked when the captain confesses regarding the
tempering of a ball in the cricket ground1. According to Smith, his honesty regarding the
captaincy of the team along with the leadership honesty have all come into question due to the
issue. The case study provides the view that Smith was a dedicated leader in the field and his
honesty is towards the team. The entire issue of ball tampering and other activity that took place
within the field is due to the fact that Smith wanted to make his team win in the match. The case
show the way by which a leader tends to make thing suitable for his team and to make them win
in the match. In this Smith did not need to stand down because whatever he did was due to
pressure and for the team.

mistakes. The mistake that is performed by Smith is due to immense pressure and this could be
improved if there was an effective game in the field. The situation can be improved by genuinely
