INTRODUCTION
Crime reduction and community safety is an important strategy which helps in removing
and managing all the prevention of general crime and it nature. Their main aim is to remove all
the issues and the crimes and also to manage the community safety with effective regulation and
protection of the general public. The compliance and other surveillance through which all the
monitoring and the effective strategies after made by the police through which they try to make
public safety in the society. It is a forefront field which facilitate all the experience and the
expertise through which all the successfully engagement and the substrates are addressed
(Russell and Sturgeon, 2019). This report will cover the methods to record crime with the
general survey for alternative measuring along with the crime reduction strategies and the
methods through which crime and disorder can be handled.
MAIN BODY
P1 Describe how crime is recorded by the police.
This is generally an important part in which all the police will have to manage and cover
the crime in order to promote the peace and morality in the society. Their is been provided tha6t
as though Police Act 1996 section 44 there is given that all the Chief heads have the right to
manage the statistical data to record the crime. All such data and the records are manges through
certain implementation which covers 6 stages through crime recording they are as follow: Incident reporting- In this the police manage all the recording of the victims and all the
third parties with the agencies who manage and have been affected by all such criminal
activity. In this stage the registration of the in incident is being made through all the
auditable system(Pasha, 2018). Decision making for recording the crime- In this stage all the circumstances and the
identification of the crime being recorded is covered with all credible details and
evidences.

 Closing indents records- In this stage all the information or the issue in the crime that is
being addressed will be covered in one system through which all information is managed
in one document. Recording- This involves all the functions and the general commitment where police
register all the records and the details and manage the reporting and the incidents that are
being laid for all the victims. This gives that all the police officer in this stage will cover
details of the incident and the victim(Miller, M.L. and Wright, 2019). Closing crime records- it involves that all the crime records are being dismissed in which
all the issues and the and the problems when been solved then this be covered under it. Checking records- all the compliance are overseen that they are registered accurately and
all the information which is been given is correct or not(Teixeira Júniorand Freire, 2022).
P2 Explain how the Crime Survey for England and Wales offers an alternative method of
measuring crime.
In order to measure crime there is required to have involvement of all the agencies and
the governmental bodies like the courts, prisons and the police which manages all the crimes that
are been observed and analysed in it. Police helps in ,measuring crime by getting the reliable
source by maintaining the self report. Other then this Victim Surveys is an important method
which helps out in measuring crime where all the crimes are been addressed by the victims who
has suffers the issue. British Crime Survey BCS helps out in managing all the amount of crimes
through which the records and the attics are managed. In this the BCS manages and keep all the
records of the data through which they can eventually gain the details as in to record all the
incident and also to maintain the effective strategy through which crime reduction can be
applied. All such survey will help to maintain the record and maintain all the data analysation in
which they can apply the record and also can manage the safety alliance. The measuring of crime
is applies for framing the records and the statical approach through which the reduction of crime
and improvisation of the techniques can be made(Lee, 2019)

Crime majorly affects the society with all the social injuries and also effect the
psychological persistent in which the fear, anger, isolation, depression is addressed. Their is been
given it majorly affect the disorders on victims with which they are mentally and psychosocially
being affected through all such nature and working. The crime mainly make the emotional and

the social isolation and damage to the image of the person that can traumatised them and make
them to cause depression. As crime also creates a negative impact on the people as this somehow
affect the working and this also address and maintain the tendency to lower down their self
esteem. On the other hands the major impact of all such crime is raised on the victims which
applies and creates the evaluative working and this all effect their life and the mental state to be
affected. The major impact that the victims majorly faced are like the emotional numbing, sleep
disturbance(Kohmand Walby, 2020).

Crime is mainly the most disturbing elements which can affect the life, liberty and the
mental state of the person by which all the physical and the mental well being is adversely
impacted. All this mainly make the affect on the communities in which this can make the society
and the individuals to be frightened and also provided that this majorly make the communities to
loose their trust on all the police system. Other then this when the crime are being seen that it
eventually make the persons to feel scared towards all the measures and the powering and their is
addressed that negative implicate, lack of trust is observed. All such repeated exposure of
criminal activities will increase the negative health outcomes and all such violence will make the
community to lessen their engagement in the public gathering and other neighbour activates.
This will also make the social peace to be disturbed and all the unfair acquittal to be seen through
unwanted violence (Hough and Stanko, 2020).

In order to manage and prevent all the major crimes in the country their is observed that
so man y regulations which are being addressed and applied by the government through which
all the protection and the safety compliance of the person is managed. One of the important act is
Crime and Policing Act which is passed through the royal assent in March 2014. this provides
that all the anti social behaviour, criminal activities and other issues that can affect the life,
liberty and safety of the individuals will be covered in it. It provides all the sections and the
punishments with the applied law through which all the actions and the regulations can be
imposed in all such systems, other then this the Ant-social behaviour and all the Officers and the
police lines records and investigates the matter with major adherence. Policing Act Terrorism
Act are all such major acts and the rules in which they engagement and the rules through which

the working of the society and the removal of crime can be applied. As the government has given
all the measures to tackle the crime with utmost safety.
P6 Explain the role and responsibilities of a range of public services and related agencies in
addressing crime and disorder.
Some of the major roles, responsibilities which are being given for the police and other
agencies are like:
 To manage public security and safety by upholding and enforcing all the life, liberty,
dignity and the other cultural factors through which upholding nature is managed.
 To maintain the internal security in order to prevent a,ll the reach of hormonal peace of
the community and also to prevent all the militant activities and action that can harm the
society.
 To secure and protect all the public property like the public transport, bridges, railways
and many more.
 To reduce the crime rates and also to manage and aid all such compliance with which the
agencies and their working can be maintained.
 To collect all the records of the social offences, national security, and also the matters
which can affect the life and liberty (Harmon and Boppre, 2018).
 To remove all the danger form the harm by the distress and the safety compliance. To provide all such situationist in which the responders will get the affective strategies by
which the upholding nature and the compliance can be managed.
P7 Outline the factors that underpin crime reduction strategies
In United Kingdom, there are various factors which are being followed by the
government for the crime reduction. Among those factors some of them are listed here such as
targetting the causes of crime, discouraging the people who commit crimes by making them
realise that the cost of committing a crime is more than its benefit and increasing the hurdles for
the offenders by reducing opportunities to commit a crime. In context to the first factor which is
targetting the causes of crime, it states that the government should have a look at over the causes
of crime. For example, if the number of rapes are increasing in the country then the authorities
should focus on the causes which may occur due to less security or protection for the females. In
this instance if the authorities target at the cause and implement some more security measures
then the crime rate could be reduced. The next factor says that if the offenders are discouraged

by the government by implementing strict punishments such as hanging the rapist till death is the
sentence which will discourage people to commit rapes and this factor will ensure that the
punishment of the crime is severe than its benefit. The last factor says that if the hurdles are
increased for the offenders to commit crime such as increasing the security, protection and
implementation of severe punishments which will definitely reduce the number of crimes in the
country. The authority can commence the counselling programme for the offenders in order to
change the behaviour of the people towards crime which will create a positive environment and
which will reduce the destructive thoughts to commit a crime (Currie, 2019).
P8 Describe a range of local and national strategies used to tackle crime and disorder
The National Crime Prevention Strategies is a long-term programme which create certain
conditions in which the opportunities and the motivation of committing a crime is reduced by the
authorities. It also transforms the capacity of the criminal justice to deal with the crimes. The
local and national strategies used to tackle crime and disorder are as follows:
 Increasing the hurdles for the offenders to increase the efforts they make to commit a
crime.
 Increasing the risk for the offender to complete the crime.
 While increasing the risk for the offender, the opportunities and the benefits should also
be decreased that the offender expects out of crime.
 The excuses should be removed so that the offenders gets limited for their action
justification.
 The authorities should move a step ahead towards technology advancement which will
ensure that every crime scene is recorded which will make it quite evident for the
authorities to keep quick decision making with appropriate evidence. This will reduce the
chances of offender to defend themselves.
 Awareness should be created among the civilians to report the crime in order to impose
quick actions to stop the crime.

This above report summarised that, crime reductions is mainly the effective initiative that
are being used by the government through efficient secretaries ans the law making which manage
the public peace and general liberty and morality. Crime reporting can be managed by applying

proper and systematic working through which all the records and the details of the criminal
activities can be accompanied. Their implies that crime and policing act complies to manage the
safety and working of all the people and also to manage the public peace and safety. their is also
drawn that crime has a major impact on all the society and their working their provided that it
affects the mental and the physical he,lath of the person and through this all the major
applicability nd the records are affected. This also affect the community to manager their
working in positive manner.
