The sex difference is the primary difference concerning the conduct of the Crime.
They are either the victims or they are either the criminals. The determination in the
difference of sex in various types of conduct of the Crime is demonstrated to various
physical, sociological, and economic factors that the person. These studies belong to various
criminological and sociological aspects in order to determine the rate and the occurrence of
the commission of the Crime between the man and the woman. It is challenging to determine
the difference between the different rengers responsible for committing the Crime or being
the victims of the Crime. However, despite the difficulty in understanding the rate, the crime
statistics through various approaches help to determine the differences. The primary aim of
this essay is to understand the difference in the rate of the crimes between the men and the
women and the various factors and types of crimes they are responsible for.
Although the determination of the difference in the pattern of Crime between the men
and the women may be complicated, it can be analyzed through various factors such as the
economic, biological, sociological, psychological, and various other factors. Though the
statistics clearly shows the involvement of men more in the commission of the crimes.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, in the year 2015-16, the rate of the
commission of the assault included around 467,000 men and 432,700 women (Abs.gov.au,
2020). Whereas in cases relating to robbery and murder, the graph and the rate were higher
for the men than that for the women. It is evident that women have a very low rate for the
arrests that the men of the society. It includes all kinds of crimes that are committed virtually
or in other ways, although the rate of prostitution is more for women than that for the men.
Not only that, but females are also represented at a much lower rate in cases of severe
offenses than that of men. Since the past the extent of the arrest of the women are 15 percent
less than the men in cases of aggravated assaults and other crimes that relates to homicide
(Williams & Bierie, 2015). It is 10 percent less than the rate seen in the men in cases of

severe property offenses such as robbery and burglary. Except in the cases of prostitution the
rates of women are very high as not only it includes the adult women but also includes
children. Apart from this, trends show that females are mostly engaged in crimes such as
petty thefts, forgery, and fraud cases. It is evident that the female offenders are less likely
than the ,men to be repeated offenders. Although there is the involvement of the women in
the commission of the Crime, but yet it is significant that the probability of women getting
jailed is lower than that of a male. These factors are due to various family backgrounds,
pressure, culture, or poverty.
In conclusion, it is stated that though the crime rate and the rate of punishment are
lower in the case of women than that of men but yet there are various legislations equally
sanctioning both the male as well as a female in regards to the Crime they conduct and not
upon the gender.
