INTRODUCTION
Criminology is a scientific study of various aspects such as; nature, extent, management,
consequences as well as prevention of criminal behaviour of a person and social levels. It helps
in understanding the reason behind specific action which was taken a by person. However,
assignment is going to focus on some of the major elements associated with criminology. Thus,
Anti-social behaviour is a key concept of a project that helps in understanding the nature of
employees towards wrongful behaviour. Furthermore, various concept of criminology
scholarship will also outline. Lastly, summary of the workbook will explain for analysing the
difficulties incurred while preparing assignment.
B. Anti-social behaviour
Title- “To identify the influence of Anti-social behaviour on individual behaviour as
well as child development” .
It is an action which harms well-being of others without concerning about any other
aspects. This term shows the nature of a person which fluctuates due to negative environment or
any other factors. Basically, it is defined as that the activities which violates the rights of any
other individual without worrying about society, members, community or nation. However, it
influences the temperament of child’s, their ability and involvement with negative persons.
Moreover, this word is related with various behavioural development obstacles like; hyper,
anger, rude nature, depression, learning disabilities and impulsiveness. On the other hand, few
other scholars state that, anti-social behaviour shows the personality disorder of any individual,
their genetic elements such as; abnormalities in brain due to health issue (Burney, 2013).
On the other hand, it has been understood that a person behaviour changes as per their
surroundings such as; if a child live in a negative environment then he/she automatically get
attracted towards negativity and acts in wrongful way. As a result, it automatically abolished the
rules and regulations which was set by society and every person is liable for following that
norms. For instance; every culture believes in few customs due to which their child’s were also
get enforced to act accordingly. It shows that anti-social behaviour is totally depending upon the
nature of a person and its surrounding. Additionally, public are raising their voice against anti-
social behaviour and saying that if a person get engaged in creating nuisance activities then
he/she will be report to police for damages as well as created a subject to criminal prosecution.

Mainly, these problems are affecting whole society and destroy the peaceful environment
of community. In fact, somehow encourage some other innocent people also towards wrongful
activities. It was developed into New Labours anti-social behaviour purpose and it was discussed
in very initial labour documents. Their main motive is to tackle the problems related with crime
by handling justice system. Hence, initiatives are taking place against these issues which is
dangerous for whole nation in various manner (Rodger, 2012).
D. Concept used in criminology scholarship
Due process
This element of criminology states that, first or foremost function of judiciary system is
to offer fairness under the law while making decision in tribunal. Their main objective is to grant
equal justice to the citizens in all the legal proceedings. Basically, it’s a defendant rights for
defending themselves from allegations by taking corrective initiatives. However, it is a most
influential assessment of criminal justice by Herbert Packer, 1968 which make differences
between two idea models such as; due process and crime control. Hence, both the terms are
acting against each other in criminal court. For example; due process provides authority to the
criminal for defending him/her from allegations or raise voice against prosecutions (Jones,
2010). Thus, this term plays an appropriate role in criminal scholarship by offering right of trail
to the citizens.
Classicism
Criminology is all about punishing a person who commits wrongful activities. But,
during 17th century, classical school of criminology emerges concentrated on five major aspects.
For example; initial one is; rationality, thought process which was chosen by an individual for
committing crimes, Hedonism, assumption which people seek for pleasure and always tried to
minimize or avoid their pain. These terms shows the theory of classicism and Cesare Beccaria
become first or foremost father of classical criminology because in his initial age he was
authorized his top most work that was title on Crimes and Punishment (1764). Moreover, he was
the first person who was recommended that essence of crime was a danger that did to the society
(Cohen, 2017). Hence, he believes that instead of punishing criminals, better notion is to prevent
crimes and tried to minimize it.

Moral panic
As per this term, fear of society highlights over an issue such as; in almost 1544 societal
members are preparing for burning witch but hunts of Witch is an example of moral panic which
shows the fear of society towards witch. It means, public fear for certain aspect is falls under this
criminology. However, media plays a major role in creating this because whether they are having
accurate information or not but still their way of reporting is enough for creating anxiety,
concerned and panic in between society (Rohloff and Wright, 2010 ). Hence, it has been
understood that moral panic is all about fake concerned or superstitious beliefs of whole society.
Anomie
This idea is all about lack of normal ethical or social standards which was first emerged
in almost 1893 by French sociologist Emile Durkheim. Basically, he believes that it is a state of
Normlessness where expectations of a person behaviour is totally unclear as well as system was
totally broken down. Basically, this word denotes the unusual behaviour of society in which they
even don’t know that values, ethics and standards of societies are abolished that destroys the
peaceful environment of society (Nivette, 2011).

a) Difficulties while preparing the assignment.
Throughout the project, numerous of things occurs which is not easy to handle and
manage because of complexity. Although, materials related with project are easily acquired but
still selection process is not that much easy due to the availability of several elements which
makes me confuse while designing. Mainly, I have learned much more but complex while
implementing it in the assignment. For example; I know the meaning of due process in
criminology but while writing it I get confused that how I have to frame the meaning.
Furthermore, because of project I have to engage in various activities simultaneously due to
which when I was working various task together then I get major problems to cope up with all of
them. For example; sometime I just forget to do another thing due to get involved in several
activities. Therefore, preparation of assignment is not an easy task because I have gone through
numerous issues such as; initial one is selection process in which I get confused that which
subject needs to come first or select as well as not able to decide the priority of completing

subject. On other hand, I have experienced that handling various work in one go is also complex
as well as I also face difficulty while expressing my opinions in assignment.
b) Academic skills requires for completing the assignment
In order to complete the assignment by accomplishing several activities, I have to learn
several skills which requisite me during handling my project. For example; initiative is a
foremost factor that is really indispensable for the success because if I get failed in taking steps
further then automatically I cannot complete my project. Secondly, management is another
element that also plays a crucial role the success of assignment because there are number of task
are available in the project which requires proper timing such as; research, selection, writing
henceforth. It means all these things will manage by the suitable time management as well as
ability to reduce stress in order to perform all the activities in much better manner. Furthermore,
I must know about the technique of identifying accurate information and data because it helps
me in designing corrective answer.
c) Aspects learned in completing exercise and confident aspects while completion
I have learned numerous of things while completing my assigned project but from all the
skills and abilities most important on which I am totally confident such as; I know the way of
researching and technique of identifying suitable data for specific questions. Basically, it helps
me in attaining my set targets in a specific time period. On the same time, I found difficulty
while prioritizing the data because after collecting so many information sometime I get confused
that which one is more significant and more suitable for the questions.
CONCLUSION
From the entire project, it has been summarized that for controlling criminal activities
society needs to take some major initiatives but without harming the person. Actually,
punishment create a situation of revenge which is really dangerous for society also. Along with
this, project also helps in understanding that various scholars have introduced their opinions on
various elements of criminology aspects which helps criminal justice system while making final
decision.
