INTRODUCTION
Criminology theory can be defined as the study of people behaviour like why they
commit crimes and why they behave weird in different situations. It supports to understand crime
and criminal justice. The brief study of the report helps to understand about illegal narcotic

Illegal narcotic is considered in a crime type which is not only make personal criminal but also
leads moral panic. By consuming illegal narcotics creates various issues for the person who take
illegal narcotic and their family as well. To consume or have illegal narcotics regular basis leads
addiction in person and they become dependent on the narcotics. A person who is narcotic
addicted when they don’t get narcotic due to several reason in that situation, they commit crime
or act as criminal manner (Burke, 2017). Moral panic can be defined as the feeling a fear which
spread among public that several evils can become challenge for the wellbeing of society. Illegal
narcotic (illegal painkiller) is considered in crime type which is an evil for society because they
think a person who is narcotic addicted. They definitely commit crime in society and gives
negative impact on their children’s. To understand impact of illegal narcotic on social and
behaviour of person has a criminology theory. Criminology is the approach which helps to study
about crime on the basis of social view. The theory is not only identified social view for the
individual but also determines that what makes people to act in criminal manner (Wortley and
Townsley eds., 2016). Illegal narcotic is a type of crime so it is understood by the Psychological
theory. It is described below:
Psychological Positivism
It is categorized in to criminology theory which supports people to understand that people
attempted crime because of their internal psychological actors. Due to these factors they unable
to control on themselves and committed crime. Psychological positivists give assurance that
there are certain internal psychological elements which compel a person to commit crime. These
factors can occur due to financial issues, parents’ separation, feeling alone and negligence by

parents or teachers in that state they move towards narcotic addiction. Due to this, people engage
themselves in criminal activities. Psychological positivism also supports society to make them
understand like individual who is drug abused (Carrington and et.al., 2018). They are not born
biologically a criminal due to several reason they become drug addicted and social abuse as well.
This theory assists to understand several psychological factors like loneliness, stress etc,
increases the mind pressure on the people and they use illegal painkiller to overcome their
mental pressure. It reduces their efficiency of understanding that what is wrong or right and
enhance their panic situation in the family and in society as well. It is not only giving impact on
family environment but also gets negative impact on their health. Illegal narcotic gives injurious
impact on the youth generation who are the leader of the current society becomes addicted and
promotes criminal activities. The psychological theory assists society to understand
psychological factors which can promote children’s for using narcotic painkillers (Shammas and
Sandberg, 2016). By the theory easy to give moral values of the criminal and easy to decline
their negative thinking for society by the help of psychological theory. Even society can give
education about illegal narcotic and its negative impact on health and society as well which can
support kids and teenager to stay away from these evils. This theory is important to create
psychological control on the people which automatically declines tendency of them towards
illegal narcotic. The psychological positivism theory assists to give high understanding for
psychological control over the person and enhance their ethical consideration by reducing moral
panics. This theory helps to eradicate use of illegal narcotic gradually from the society.
Sociological theory
This theory helps to understand the social effects on the illegal narcotics also creates
moral panic as this increases the threat of public health and it can also reduce the efficiency of
whole region. Are criminal being not morally correct which increases the threat and panic in the
society and. This theory helps to identify all the factors which increases the social pressure on
the criminal use illegal narcotics (Burke, 2017). This also reduces their ability to make sound
decision and also increase the panic situation in the society. Illegal narcotics impact the teenagers
who are the future of the population into the criminal background this influence the efficiency of
the society to generate potential people to support growth effectively. Illegal painkillers are used
by the criminal to hide any crime and this also increases the motivate criminal mind-set in the

society to grow. This negativity is not good and can reduce the moral values of people. As moral
values differentiate between the difference criminal and good person and ethical leaning is also
very essential for the society and for the small kids to stay away from this illegal narcotic. This
theory helps to increase the moral value of the criminal and reduce their negative thinking with
the help of this theory effectively. It is also very essential to develop effective social control over
the person which also reduces the tendency to attract towards illegal narcotics and reduce their
over reactions. As the over reactions can also can make them unhealthy (Freilich, and LaFree,
2017). This criminology theory helps to provide effective understanding to control the social
behaviour of the person and increase their ethical consideration and become more normal. This
also decreases the social panic in the society about the illegal narcotics and also eradicate the use
of it gradually.
