INTRODUCTION
Leadership is referred as the ability of group of individuals to guide and influence the
followers and other members in group of team of organization. The crisis leadership is the
activity of responding to a business challenges as well as preventing them from happen in the
future. There are main reasons of the leadership crisis such as shortage in the leadership skills
and ability and growth complexity. This report will discuss the characteristic of Shackleton
leadership style and learnt form the leadership styles in the context of contemporary business
organization in crisis. This report will also elaborate the organizational situation by drawing on
the schools of leadership as revel recommend for improvements in performance.

1. Shackleton's leadership characteristics
He was the great leaders, and he had the most essential characteristics in the leadership
styles for become the prefect leaders. It the cautious leaders. The characteristics include the
motivation, optimistic and back breaking, freezing cold, journey across the Atlantic ocean. The
Shackleton characterize that the leaders should be motivated because it is the start of journey. It
helps the individual willing to do something and general desire which are required to fulfil the
goal and objectives (Gutmann, 2018). Keeping motivated to others helps in achieve the setting
goals and it helps in achieve the all members expedition. He was use the language of motivation.
He was the cautious leader man who never ask anyone regarding the anything. He was good at
performance and improvisation because he was not afraid about the throw away the rulebook id f
they are not working as well as he was a man for tight spot, in other words, handle the difficult
and dangerous situations. He was blessed in the people management. He was great in the
instinctive leadership styles, the instinctive leaders is admitted their mistakes because they are
quick to take responsibilities, and they desperate in built the organizational culture. The mistakes
are simply challenges for them to overcome, and they not found the opportunities to blame
someone else and points figures. The strong leaders have the good instincts and the Shackleton
were had the good instinct because he was confident in their decision-making abilities.
As a leader, Shackleton was the optimistic and positive leader because he cannot let the
worries, anxiety, sadness and anger which take made and crumble anything. The optimistic
leaders have the confidence and hopefulness regarding the successful outcomes and about the
future which are most important to manage the group of people. With the optimistic attitudes,

most effective leadership style which are adapted by the Tesco because it helps in achieve the
long term ideas and goals for the company as well as company get the benefits from this style
with the inspiration and creativity. This style helps in boost the employees engagements,
retention rate and morale.
It also helps in build the confidence and trust in the company leadership. It represents the
foster creativity. This leadership style helps in motivate employees and extract better perform,ace

also occurred in organization due to the decision-making process and it directly impacts on the
reputation of organization. That's why business face some difficulties in democratic leadership
styles.
RECOMMENDATION
If company use the democratic leadership style, then they should take individual ideas of
employees as regarding the decision-making in organization. They should listen to the
employees and create a cohesive decision-making regarding the business as well as they must
hide the every individual employees decisions because it helps in diffuse the conflicts between
the employees. The company should conduct the survey for employees regarding the employees
satisfactions, and they must listen to results as well (Batool, Arif and Nadeem, 2021). They
should improve the process of decision-making and message covey because it takes a lot of time
so, they improve process helps in decrease the wastages of time and lack of message as well as it
helps in reduce the errors. The company should push the employees to develop in the career
enhancements within the organization as well as they provide opportunities to employees for
identify the areas of improvements.
